Just thought of this one as well....... The FA should make him give back his one and only international cap in disgrace........Then and ONLY then, his conscience might start to pr*ck him. Actions such as these would constitute a complete disowning and shaming process by the FA. Perhaps it will then make him realise what a complete a***hole he has been - unless of course he is too thick skinned (or just plain thick) for it to dawn on him. KICK HIM OUT OF THE GAME!!

This seems to be the sole topic tonight, I don't normally like to comment on individual court appearances as they rarely reveal enough accurate information in the media compared that on which judge and jury act; BUT in this case I would like to say this........................... Joey Barton comes across as a thoroughly horrible little scrote from a particularly anti social background and family. That said, his talent has allowed him a to lead a very privileged lifestyle with a sky high income allowing him to indulge in life's pleasures (race horse ownership to name but one) that I could never dream of. A sky high income that is indicative of the ills of the game at the so called "top" as he has been able to accumulate wealth without being in the slightest way a good professional. In fact throughout his "career" he has been a thoroughly bad one, a waster and one who, had he applied himself properly; would have achieved so much more in the game and the one thing that I personally would have valued above all that - self respect and the respect of others. A couple of years ago I happened to sit on the Tube beside a very talented young Premiership player who I had subconsciously regarded as a bit of a "doughnut" - liable to get himself into trouble, seemingly unaware of his fortune at being so talented and seemingly (to me) in danger of letting it all drift away. Soon into our polite conversation he incredibly let me know that he was illiterate and was on his way to special adult reading classes. I thought this was either incredibly naive of him (as I had never seen this mentioned in the media) or extremely humble to impart this very personal inadequacy to a complete stranger. He must have realised that I was a football fan as I had addressed him by his name (at least I got it right this time, which is rare for me!) so I can only assume he did so because he was genuinely a simple lad who loved playing football (which he does very well) and didn't in any way see himself as being "above" the average man in the street and that I feel is in direct contrast to the really obnoxious sort of character Barton is. Football clubs have a responsibility to society and their young supporters in particular and I feel that by "indulging" Joey Barton in the way that Newcastle United have, they are abdicating that responsibility. Perhaps it is because they have become so lacking in class themselves they now lower their standards to accommodate such a poor excuse for the word "professional" and perhaps this then illustrates just why they are but a shadow of the club they used to be and should be now.

Jerry the view on the radio today, was that it was not about money, people seemed to think 6 million, would be nothing foe Newcastle. Do you think if Newcastle had said no, we don't want you back here, other clubs would really want him? I only ask, because I think any club would need to look at how their fans, would view such a signing. I don't think many fans from any club would welcome Barton. Yes, unfortunately they would. There will always be a club thinking that they can get a semi-decent player on the cheap. Just look at how many clubs that other yob Lee Bowyer has had! In my experience most clubs couldn't give a stuff what their fans think, so can't see that being a stumbling block! I'm all for giving second chances, but you have to draw the line at third, fourth and fifth chances! Barton has shown repeatedly that he is a low life and should be kicked out of football for good!

At least Nike have terminated their £40k boot deal with the little scroat. Not that he'll probably notice it though.

What the hell was Keegan thinking of yesterday? Giving "loose cannon" Barton a run out for all of a couple of minutes beggars belief. Especially as he goes before the FA on Thursday to receive (hopefully) a lengthy ban from the game!! Got to give the "Gooners" fans a MASSIVE pat on the back for letting Barton know EXACTLY how they feel about his misdemeanours though. Chants of "Scum" and "You're supposed to be in jail" rang out around the Emirates as he took to the pitch in the 88th minute. ....And to think that he had the cheek to complain when Nasri clipped his heels moments after he had upended the Arsenal starlet. What a WIMP!!

I don't think Kev he would have expected any other sort of reception to the one he got.
He has to be finished in football surly, If he gets a ban it will be a long one and just what can he expect, when the ban was over.He would get booed at every ground he played at, does he really want that to be the norm every game he played.
Do yourself a big favor Barton and give the game up, there really will be nowhere you will ever play and enjoy your football.
