...just to strongly recommend on t'red button doodah on BBC at moment - Robert Plant in his Electric Proms concert from the other day - most excellent, he is with his Band Of Joy and turns in a terrific performance with......
Misty Mountain Hop
and
Central Two O Nine
......among a few others and to finish up with an extremely moving and affecting performance of......
I Bid You Goodnight (along with the Band Of Joy again with The London Oriana Choir)
.....Percy still rocks after all these years, believe me - one of THE great heavy rock voices of all time......

...having heard "My Town" by Kate and Anna McGarrigle being played on Alex Lester show on Radio 2 the other night, have just ordered their self-titled CD - fantastic track, they were wonderful - I know we have other Kate and Anna fans on here too.............

....as Remembrance Sunday approaches, for all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, remembering their bravery and especially as I always try to do this time of year (as those of you who have known of me for a while on here will know anyway), for an old friend of mine from the Royal Navy, taken tragically young on active service - for Mark McLaren - I still miss you terribly, wee man, RIP........ "Forever Young" - Bob Dylan and Marks' favourite, by his heroes The B-52s...... "Rock Lobster" ......forever young, forever fair....... www.helpforheroes.orgChris Donovan (D171482W - Royal Navy Apr 1978-Aug 2001) ........."we were at the beach, everybody had matching towels, somebody went under a dock, and there they saw a rock, it wasn't a rock, it was a rock lobster".........
