Stu.................regarding your team, Ian Twitchin was NEVER a left back and neither was Jimmy Dunne a wide left sided midfielder. Twitch was a right sided fullback or occasionally a midfielder and Dunney a left sided central defender at his best, and one of the very best we ever had. A pretty mean sweeper too when used in that role and even got his wish as playing up front as a striker on a couple of occasions! I do feel that when compiling a "best" or "greatest" team players need to be selected in their optimum positions which inevitably means leaving someone out of one position who is far better than someone in another when compared in a "pound for pound" equation. Sorry Merse but I got a touch of the Buckles and had to play my favourite players out of position ;D As you can tell my best years were around the time you were at Plainmoor. In fact, as a snotty-nosed teenager I actually spoke to you for a contribution for the weekly mag I did for Torquay Tech to promote TUFC before I joined the RAF

Obviously only from the era I can remember:
GK: Neville Southall RB: Jim McNichol LB: Paul Gibbs CB: Matt Elliott CB: Steve Bould LW: Mark Loram CM: Alex Russell CM: Bruce Rioch RW: Rodney Jack ST: David Graham ST: Steve Cooper
Subs: John Turner, Andy Gurney, Brian Healy, Dave Caldwell, Wes Saunders
I reckon you could put half that lot in the hard-drinking, hard-living XI/squad as well.
