Well another great job done by Leigh and the next one is already in for our game on Saturday. Keep those great posts and viewpoints coming in and make Leigh's job picking the posts to include as hard as possible.    |

In last night’s programme (against Aldershot) there was, in the Fans Forum pages, a story about my meeting with the famous Trevor Ford in the early eighties. This was originally from the post below: www.torquayfansforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=groundreviews&action=display&thread=2417By wonderful coincidence I was sorting through some old programmes last night for another ‘epic’ story I’m doing to go on the Forum when I noticed this one below from the game against Newport in 1960. Then to my utter surprise I noticed that the aforementioned Trevor Ford played in the game having just been transferred to them. Then an even bigger surprise, when I looked on the back of the programme there was his autograph, amongst other players, that a supporter must’ve collected after the match. So on the same evening my Trevor Ford story appeared in a United programme I found his autograph in another, something I found quite spooky! (It can now go alongside the pound-note he gave me, as mentioned in my story).    (Note: The game was a 0-0 draw in front of just under 8,000) |
