Yes I did and I was going to post that, you know what that Stadium may have been a long time coming, may have had build problems along the way, but boy does it look good up high from the Sky's of London. How great to hear the National anthem and see the cards held up to make the St Gorge flag and lets not forget a great first hand performance so far by the England team.

Eight wins from eight starts is does not get any better than that and how good it is to feel so good about the England team again. We made it look like a walk in the park, but we all know the games in the finals are going to be that much tougher.
It just shows really what a big part the manager does play, because its pretty much all the same players who so often have not performed in an England shirt. I loved it when they put the camera on the Notts County manager and said his club could afford to buy all the players on show and then joked they might fancy Rooney.
Shame Heskey did not get a goal, it has been a big surprise to me how he even got back into the England team, but he does play his part and has shown he has been worth bring back into the team.

Very well done you Englanders, impressed I am! I tried to help by putting a quid on at the bookies for Croatia to win, knowing that when I put money on a team they only bloody lose every time, so I`d like to think it was a good and cheap move or insurance policy!

Capello has worked wonders - but off the field more than on it i reckon. He obviously commands respect in a way Mclaren was never going to manage, but it's a little more than that. By simply ditching the 'WAGS' culture and being a little more strict on players off-field habits and pre-match rituals, he's given us a team to be proud of once again. The players really ought to have had sufficient professionalism to make such changes unecessary, but i guess that's wishful thinking. They are clearly aware that they need to perform to stay in the side now too - whoever they are. That wasn't always the case and makes a refreshing change. Players that have to perform, are more likely to. It's not rocket science. The team/squad is a pretty well oiled machine now. If the finals were next month, we'd be right in there challenging, so hopefully we can maintain similar performance levels over the next 10 months. If we can, we'll be a force to be reckoned with.
