Burton Albion were walking away with the conference when Nigel Clough was boss. When he left they started to crumble and it was really only their points already in the bag that got them promoted. I dont see them surviving.
Having spent 2 seasons in the conference i got to learn about a whole new set of football clubs and now find myself still checking out the conference results and news. a kind of farewell affection? But boy, am I glad we are out of there. You could end up staying there for years, or indeed forever, as the top 6 or 8 clubs are all within a shout every season. The rest of them werent up to much though and consider this - drop down a division and we'd be playing newport county again. scary!
