Burton Albion were walking away with the conference when Nigel Clough was boss. When he left they started to crumble and it was really only their points already in the bag that got them promoted. I dont see them surviving. Having spent 2 seasons in the conference i got to learn about a whole new set of football clubs and now find myself still checking out the conference results and news. a kind of farewell affection? But boy, am I glad we are out of there. You could end up staying there for years, or indeed forever, as the top 6 or 8 clubs are all within a shout every season. The rest of them werent up to much though and consider this - drop down a division and we'd be playing newport county again. scary! Cheers me dears.

Can't really agree that they might not survive this season, yes its true after Nigel Clough left, results starting going the wrong way, but there could have been many reasons for that.
it is often the case when a team looks like it is nearly past the winning post, it takes its foot of the gas, I do think that is partly what happened to Burton. Then as it got near the end of the season the fear of blowing it after such a good lead, may have also played a part in not getting the results they would have wanted.
We beat them on Tuesday, but they did score five in their game before and while I do not expect them to be challenging at the top, I do think they are a good bet for a mid table position come the end of the season.
