Well what a day it has been today, I foolish was working on the photo for my boss until just after midnight and then Carol was gently tapping me at 4am, telling me I needed to get up for work. Went to Toolfix and loaded up my van and then checked the forum and noticed the post made by merse about the forum stretching. I looked for everywhere a picture that had been put on too large, but I could not find one. If it is too big once it is downloaded, the image resize code kicks and and makes the image smaller, so it does not stretch the forum. It will show above the picture that it has been resized, but as I said I could find one that had been put on too large. I spent far to long trying to sort it out and ended up leaving for Weymouth more that an hour late and I was worried about getting home in time to get to the parade. I get home and find that the banners are missing and then spent one hour re hosting them all and doing the code again, so I left home later than I had wanted too. I got to Castle Circus to find no spaces right on the barriers, I was not to worried as my camera's LCD screen came be pulled out and hinged at an angle so you can hold it up above peoples heads and still get good clear shots. Only some man from the BBC gives the girl I chose to stand behind( due to her being the shortest I could find ;D) a balloon on a stick. Great I thought thats going to get in the way of all my shots. Then god looked down on me and she dropped the balloon and it went inside the barrier and blew away. The bus came and then I was able to move across the road and get the player shots from there. Its always hard trying to get good pictures shooting up toward the sky, but on the whole I'm pleased with the ones I got. It really was a great feeling being there, plenty of cheering from our fans and I was really pleased to get Bucks holding the cup. Hopefully we will get some pictures from other parts of the route, but now I need to jump in the bath, as I have not washed since 4am, what a dirty boy I am.

Thanks for the above photos, Dave. They capture the celebrations really well. I'm afraid you could barely hear what the players were saying (plenty of feedback etc.), and you could not see clearly who was speaking. If they were all stood on the Town Hall balcony it would have been a lot clearer view for everyone. I suppose the balcony is still deemed as unsafe by the council, like the last promotion parade.
Saying that, nothing was going to dampen anyones spirits and a great time was had by all. Smiles and celebration all around ! I am so proud what the team has achieved and it was great to see one lasting memory of this season's success !

Couldn't pick out Thompson and Green. On holiday? I have some more so will have a look tomorrow and see If I got them or not, the problem was the bus was packed up on top and it was hard to get clear views of who was on there.

Green is on holiday, TT was definately not on the bus. I can't think of any others that weren't there other than Brough and Sturrock. Let's not forget the contribution that Luggy Jr made - the cool finish to rescue a point at Mansfield and was inspirational against a stubborn Kettering side. I should also add that one of the problems of having it on Saturday was the amount of people that wouldn't have been able to attend due to being on their well-earned hollibobbles. I recall that we had the '91 promotion parade on the Sunday after the Friday - had my photo waken with Wes who looked like he had gone ten rounds with Tyson (or was it a clip round the face by Tommy "Tefal" Tynan?!)!!
Really spendid evening - and great photos Dave. I think the players and club really appreciated it, nice bunch of lads and fantastic group that have brought this club back from the brink. I know it's been said a million times but I'll never stop feeling grateful!!
