While the fixtures are not out yet it has been announced that as Boxing Day this year falls on a Saturday, we will play games on the 26th and 28th December. There will be no games played on New years eve or day but on January the 2nd. There will be six midweek games and two bank Holiday fixtures and the good news must surely be that games will not have to be moved just to keep the TV companies happy .

Happy with that, I hated the nonsense of thurs and Monday games. I am really looking foward to being a small fish in a relatively small pond

You got to be happy that there is no game on New Years Day. Home or Away for most of still means driving to the game, Public Transport is not an option. That means a quiet New Years Eve or a few people on the road that are perilously close to the limit. If all 92 league clubs (and some more in the Tin Pot league below ;D) played on New Years day there is potential for trouble.
