I like so many on this forum have been a fan of TUFC more years than I care to remember, some really great days and games I will never forget and some very sad times supporting the club, when the pains in my heart felt like they would never go away.
Life is never easy and just when you feel it’s so good and your are so glad to be alive, something will happen that will see you on the floor and believing now that life will never be the same, or ever be happy again for you.
What really happens is that in time your pains heal and you start to let go of the feelings that are making you feel so low, life starts to get better again and the future looks so much brighter again.
The problem is that cycle of events will happen many times during your life, so it’s important to make sure you really enjoy to the full, the very good and best times and try and forget the bad times that has happened.
That is not to say you should never look back to the bad times sometimes, by doing so you may just realise just how good things might be now in your life, it could make you feel that really things now are better than they ever have been in your life.
We are a long time dead and the years are going faster than we might like, so we should look to make those we have left as happy as possible and fully enjoy any highs that come our way and make them last as long as we can.
We have just won promotion back into the football league, something I feared we may not have achieved, I did worry that we could end up just a BSP team for a very long time and that our club would just shrink year on year.
We should all still be in party mood, looking forward to our very first game as a league two side again, in a league we all know we really belong in. I’m not saying I’m happy with all that has gone on last season, not to sure I believe some players were treated as I felt they should be, but that’s life I’m afraid and sometimes you really should not be trying to dig to deeply, just look at what has been achieved.
Bucks clearly learnt many things from his first season as the manager of TUFC, we saw that with our own eyes, he would have also have learnt many things from his second season as a manager and will for sure do something’s different next season.
I get really disappointed when some fans want to go and try and pick holes, still make claims that the final result of playing a whole season, do not bear out in any way simply because in the end we won the prize on offer, a place back in the football league.
Is it not time to get posting about our thoughts and hopes for the coming season? Lets ride this great high as long as we can, we all know as a TUFC fan, that we can still expect some lows to come, that may be a time to want to pick holes, look to find someone to blame, but here and now, we should just be singing and thanking Bucks for doing what most managers in the BSP want to do more than anything else in their life, get their team into league two. We can harp on if you all want until the start of the season, asking if Woods was treated fairly, (I have said I felt things could have been done in a better way) but is it really important now? It’s gone and Steve while feeling low and angry now will in time move on, find a new club and his life will just return to normal.
Lets get this forum back into party mood, lets not look for flaws, yes there may be some, but I know a club full of fans up at Cambridge that wish they were us. Dave Shaw you were doing so well the other day, great posts about how the club could increase its revenues, can we not have more posts like that?
All I’m trying to say is now there is no reason to be negative, only to be happy and looking forward and getting excited about the coming season, give it a try Dave you may just find members will warm to you more, because at this time carrying on like you are, you are just pushing others further away and the end result will be they will just scroll past any posts you make.
That would be a shame because you are an intelligent man who really could bring so much into the forum, why not be a very nice man and give it a try.
