Well the 2009 seasons first car, Ferrari got revealed the other day. It is being classed as the 'Ugly' Scuderia Ferrari. It is the 55th single seater Ferrari built by them. It is called a F60 to commemorate competing in ALL 60 Grand Prix seasons
As i knew with the new rulings and gadgets it would look diufferent, to me anyway. the front is much wider and being classed as a snow plough and the back is thin. Also for the first time in 10 years, Slick tyres return. The teams are as follows
McLaren-Mercedes
Ferrari
BMW Sauber
Renault
Toyota
Toro Rosso-Ferrari
Red Bull-Renault
Williams-Toyota
Force India-Mercedes
With the loss of Super Aguri and Honda (they have pulled out but are still listed as in the 2009 championship for now IF they get a buyer, Button would stay ast a new team if so . If not his only option is the current spare seat in Toro Rosso - the Red Bull 2nd team even though they finished above Red Bull last year!) there are less drivers and teams and these are dark times for F1 with the massive cuts in money being used, and rightly so. However with the loss of more tracks and if we lose one more team this could put the future of f1 in doubt, when advertising andd viewing packages become less and less.
New venues include United ArabErimates for the first time as F1 moves into the midle east. (plus South Korea and india in 2010!!!)
Canadian race dropped and the French dropped BOTH for financial troubles.
Although as you know there is nothing i do not know about F1 so all the above is my knowledge, the following IS from wiki to show the rule changes...
On 22 December 2006, the FIA released the technical regulations for the 2009 season.
Along with changes to bodywork, vehicle weight and tyre size, the document includes details of a "Kinetic Energy Recovery System", or KERS. This is a regenerative brake device that is designed to recover some of the vehicle's kinetic energy that is normally dissipated as heat during braking. The recovered energy could be stored electrically, in a battery or supercapacitor, or mechanically, in a flywheel, for use as a source of additional accelerative power at the driver's discretion.
After being banned since the 1998 Formula One season, slick tyres will be provided by Bridgestone in 2009.
There will also be a cap on team budgets starting in the 2009 season.
Section 3.18 of the regulations contains details of "driver adjustable bodywork". The angle of incidence of elements in a defined area forward of the front wheels can be varied by up to 6 degrees and adjusted by direct driver input. A maximum of 2 adjustments can be made on any lap. In recent testing in Spain, BMW appear to be the first team to test such a system on a modified F1.08 chassis.
The Williams F1 team are the first to have tested the new 2009 aero elements, initaily debuting their new rear wing at Valencia, and most recently testing both front and rear wing elements.
On 5 November 2008, the FIA announced that engine life would be extended from two to three races (bbcgull edit: this could cause a few problems). The decision is part of the governing body's continuing push to lower the costs in Formula 1. Rules regarding engine-change penalties are expected to remain the same, with each driver allowed one free "joker" change, after which a new engine will mean a drop of ten places on the grid. There will also be a reduction of the engine maximum rotation from 19,000 RPM to 18,000 RPM to extend the its life
The Future Of F1 also makes interesting reading for any fans out there

Also the BBC takes over with a 5 year contract. Great - no adverts. And hopefully annoying James Allen will not be there. I understand that Martin Brundle will move over to bbc to co comm, thankfully. Would not be the same with out him.
Please lord make the gorgeous Suzi Perry host of the actual show!!!
Due to the dropout of Honda F1 and Super Aguri during 2008, Motorsport Aktuell has mentioned that some of the top teams may get to field a third non-points scoring car, in order to maintain a 20 car grid, now i would love this.
Well it may not be til late March but i am ready now!!! And it seems Bruno Senna may drive for the NEW Honda buying team if they ARE bought, due to fuel and oil supplier moving from Williams to 'Honda' as Petronis have requested a young Brazilian.
