I think getting a point against Cambridge was not to bad a result, they are a strong team and will be up there with us, challenging for the top spot.
The game against Eastbourne, will in my view give us a good opportunity to pick up three points and get the team into winning mode again. The seven point gap between us and the leaders Burton, would then be reduced to four point and will keep us close as I feel we will need to be going into the Xmas games.
I would not be surprised to see Bucks go back to having Sills up front with Thompson siting in the hole behind, it has worked work so many times. Benyon always seems to make a real impact coming on of the bench anyway and I think that is where he will start from.
Bevan will stay in goal and I would hope Carlisle starts and also Carayol.

With Histon up next in the league this is a must three points Dave.
Don't think eastbourne have the same type of defence as cambridge so would like to see Benyon start up front with Sills.
Hopefully, cambridge beat burton on the same night. yes, it keeps cambridge with us but if burton do win again....

Some good points weathergull. A win here would be important not only going into the Histon game, but into the heavily-loaded Christmas schedule. Incidentally, you don't know what the weather is meant to be like on Tuesday night do you? I'll try and get my match report in after the game, but it might be a straight-to-bed job for me so I'll probably kill some time at work on Wednesday morning. A draw between Burton and Cambridge would be a better result for the Gulls I reckon. Though if either team were to win, then I'll take U's please.

Dave Unless we given Benyon a run of starts how is he ever going to get a rythym to his play and forge a better understanding with Sills? The Thompson experiment worked well for a short while and may yet prove to have its uses in future, but against Eastbourne?

Andy I fully agree and if I was picking the team he would be starting along side Sills. I started a thread called something like, must not be afraid of change. I still feel Bucks will always play safe most of the time and his system with Sills and Thompson, has resulted in winning so many games.
That is the reason I believe that will be the two who start off the game, I hope I'm wrong for young Benyons sake, but I fear I may be correct. ;D

I think Green will play a part on Tuesday, perhaps ahead of Benyon.
I hope we get at them from early on and am really looking forward to going to the game.

You're welcome to it Jamie! I quite like my busy days, they tend to go a lot quicker. I guess it's the advantages of having my computer facing away from everyone else, it means I can sit there writing away on the forum and people think I'm working really hard. I can't be the only person that opens up a new email screen in Outlook Express and writes a post for the forum just so it looks like I'm writing an email? No... just me? I've been known to spend a couple of hours at work writing articles too. ;D I'll try and get the report in Dave, but I've got to go home via Sevenoaks so I imagine it'll be gone midnight when I finally pull into my driveway. I sure hope Sills has a good game. I'd hate to have to be critical of the big fella.

Hodges on the left wing JJ? Interesting choice. I'd have Carayol or Carlisle there, to be honest. I'd start with: Bevan Mansell - Ellis - Woods - Nicholson Stevens - Hargreaves - Wroe - Carlisle Thompson Sills Benyon and Carayol would be great to bring on and terrorise a team that is one of the weaker in the league. As has been said, I'm sure the crowd will be very low. I don't do score predictions because they always have a habit of coming back and smacking me in the face. It's the reason I don't bet. We really should be coming away with all three points though.
