Speedy winger, remember him playing against us for Crawley but he has signed on a two-year deal from the MK Dons, who were his parent club.
Another potent player added to a strong squad - maybe we'll get to see him at Newton Abbot on Tuesday.

Who will get the left sided midfield slot - him, Hodges, Stevens, Carlisle or Thompson? Or will it be the Swiss/Serb on trial?

Who will get the left sided midfield slot - him, Hodges, Stevens, Carlisle or Thompson? Well thats a difficult question really, but I think he may well get the nod at first and maybe even play along side Hodges. Think Stevens may struggle to hold down a first team place this season, but as we know, when he has come on as a sub, he has often made a real impact. It does show that not only will be able to put out a strong team, but we will have a strong bench, to call on. So it may be an injury, or the need to change tactics , it will not matter, players will be able to come and do a good job for the team.

Rob/Dave,
The important fact is that clubs who challenge for trophys have good solid squads. I can assure you that Danny Stevens is "ripping it up" and will be challenging for a position. As for the left side you can dispell Carlisle, Thompson. They have their positions sorted.

I think that the new bloke will start on the wing and Hodges at left back.Looking at the team that started yesterday that is how he will line up.We do seam to have a lot of pace in the team this year aswell

Well Danny at times last season, seemed to get lost on the left. We all know what he his capable of producing, the question is, can he maintain his form.
Would be interesting to know the roles that Carlisle and Thompson, will play. One thing we know they are both very good players and I'm sure would have no problems adapting to different positions. Paul has seem them all in training and I'm sure he has the big picture in his head, as to how the team will line up and play.

I would say that Carlisle is nailed on for the right midfield slot. I was very impressed with him there yesterday.
Would also say that Thompson is probably pushing for a place in the centre of Midfield, possibly in place of Hargreaves, who may be playing at Centre Half??

Yes it does look like we will see Hargreaves, playing at center Half, not something we would have expected. Looking forward to the Newton game to have a good look at the new players myself.
The acid test as always will be how they play and cope when the real games come along, but we have every reason to be very positive.

I very much liked the way that he talked about Buckle and the club and that he expressed a desire to play first team football even though it meant at a lower level. His attitude delights me and he is renoned for his pace which is one of the most important attributes of a good winger, in my opinion. Poke should sign tomoz and the squad will be probably complete. Despite the Tiverton result, this squad looks very strong now and must be a great bet for promotion. Does this mean no place for any of the trialists? : the serbian guy and Jack Compton, Perhaps one will sign as an extra squad option we'll have to wait and see.

I believe Jack Compton has already left, the news about Poke should really please the fans, but, there is a but, a few things still need to be sorted. Plans are in place should things go wrong, But like I have said it will be better news than we could have hoped for.

He came on for the second half, this young man is a bag of tricks, skill and pace, put in some great crosses, so the likes of Sill should have a field day, when he is playing.

He looked to have pace to burn. Also very skillful, loved the way he went past people, even if they were a tad static. Looks to be a fantastic signing and the SQUAD is taking shape.
