Forget the ref! This has been bad. Scraped a point where there should have been no bother. I still feel the play-offs is possible but some harsh words need to be said - to the manager, the coach and the players! It's not time to panic but time to knuckle down. Anything less than a play-off place (and a chance - not god-given but to be in with a shot!) is the minimum with this club and the money and effort spent on it.

O.K. Did anyone actually count how many times the radio commentators said the word "poor" in reference to the ref? I recon it was about nine times and that was just in the space of twenty seconds, just after the whistle blew for full time!

p.s. I still think we could be quicker with the subs - be more proactive and positive. I've said it earlier in the season - too much waiting and hoping. In this league, I feel that fortune favours the brave!

He was booed off by both sets of fans at half and at full time!

Another two points dropped... Next saturday Oxford away who are on a good run. Won 8 and drawn 1 in their last 9 league games. Maybe not against the best teams but we know how difficult it can be to beat them.
It's a long way to go but I fear our poor home form is going to cost us dear.

I feel a Dave Shaw "pub league" thing coming on, and after that officiating I wouldn`t be at all surprised, only this time it ain't about the level of football being played!

I have just got in from the game and have to say that was the worst ref I have ever seen by a mile.

the result should have been 4 2,having said that I thought a number of players had poor games with the main ones for me being Sills Woods and Wroe.Have to also say that Greens goal was the best I have seen for a long time

Messing about with the shape of the team, that's the problem.
All the successful teams in the BSP Premier play with 4-4-2, and have a pair of strikers who are confident of their places and score goals regularly.
We dabble with 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 and the strikers don't know how they are supposed to be playing. No wonder they are confused and miss so many scoring opportunities.
It's too late to look for another manager now, but I have never believed that PB knows what he is doing tactically. You can tell that from the erratic performances of his team, and also from his waffling whenever he is interviewed.
Play-offs ? Sorry, not this year.

My thoughts , for what they're worth: Wroe and Woods were poor in the first half. I was pleased to see the line-up before the game. Having said that, I got totally bored with Carayol's step-overs. He has the speed to leave most defenders at this level for dead, he doesn't need the fancy tricks. If he could cross the ball he would be a good winger. Green first half goal was excellent-goal of the season I should think. He seemed to tire in the 2nd half. I'm a big fan of Benyon, but he seemed to get nothing out of their defence/the referee, despite his running and undoubted effort. As for Sills-I think every defence in this league has learnt how to play him. Again, great effort, but no finished product. Nicky Wroe had a better 2nd half, as did Woodsy. Mansell had a good game, but was starting to get caught out of position 2nd half. Nicholson and Hargreaves had a good game, and Hodges had moments of excellence, although none of the defence came out of the first half with much credit. Yes, the ref was very poor. Can't blame the FGR players from taking advantage of his weakness over time-wasting. As a previous poster said, the ref was poor for both sides. Stephens and Christie made a difference, although I did think it was Joe Frasier in his final years at first! All in all, not good enough. My first post for a few seasons, so greetings to old friends!

We didn`t give away three goals, just two, the ref gave them the other one! The two we gave away were very poor but it could have easily been four for us!
