even the Welsh can't remember 1927! Chelston can. He's half-Welsh by marriage. Thanks for that - I've been trying to forget for the past 30 years, where does the time go eh?

Not very good at predicting results, but I have a feeling that Wayne Carlisle will score a couple next Saturday!

If you slip their back legs in you wellies they can't run away. Best advice since I've been here! They all have velcro for flies here in wales as the sheep have got used to the sound of zips! ;D

Stuart did you know that if you position your sheep next to a cliff they have a natural tendency to back up! This should surely be in the Wrexham match day thread not Cov or have I missed something somewhere? ;D

Just noticed on the other site that the game is being shown live on satellite in europe. I am gonna trawl the bars of Kamala tonight to see if i can find a place to watch it here. Tho' i will probably have to pay huge wedges of cash for them to show it as i will be the only one interested!
Really looking forward to this game. Heart says hell yes, head says don't be a plum! Man U in the next round anyone?!

Im really looking forward to this one, but I cant see it going the way I want,
my worry is with player like Leon McKenzie, Clinton Morrison and even Misfud, They have such pase at their disposal and therefore pose such a different threat to what Blackpool had to offer.
Its a threat I am not sure that Manse/Woods/Hodges/Nicho are up to
Blackpool played into our hands a little with Burgess up front and our back 4 defended extremely well at what they are good at, but if Cov come at us and open up the defense I can see it being a 3 or 4 nil defeat
I'm not trying to be negative, just calling it as I see it. heres hoping Bucks has got all this covered and theres no chance in hell that they will open us up, of course if Coventry play in the same style as Blackpool did it will be a very close encounter that can go either way!
finger crossed

Agree about the pace of those players but im sure our wide players will help them out when required.
It is a Cup game though and although they would beat us four times out of five if they dont perform on the day then an upset is highly on the cards. I remember a couple of years ago when Birmingham came down here with Heskey up front and Pennant on the wing and thinking no way will we keep these two out of it but on the day we did and got us a replay.
Fingers crossed as well....!!

The result doesn't really matter does it? The players have already surpassed what would normally be expected. We cannot lose whatever the result! We are not expected to win or even achieve a draw by anybody outside of the area so if the gods do happen shine on us on Saturday and the team can at least give them a scare I will be more than happy. No pressure whatsoever for our players and loads of pressure and expectation for Coventry City and their fans who will expect to role over the inferior Non Leaguers. I cant remember being on such a high after the Blackpool victory that win was a fantastic achievement for us and if we do get something out of Saturdays match I will be ecstatic!!
