Yes I would agree that Hodges is a class act, but the question you were asking is should a change be made to improve our chances of scoring from corners etc, Ellis would give us that but one would have to drop out to have him in the side, I bet you would choose Woods ;D

Hodges was my Man of the Match last night. I did enjoy watching him reading the game and reacting to any threats with minimal fuss. He does take a lot of the pressure of Woods to organise at the back and gives the Midfield the confidence to go and press the ball once the initial attack has been nulified.
In recent games I have been very impressed with the defensive play of the midfield. Last year it was all men back behind the ball and getting right in front of our own defenders and allowing the oppo to work another play but, this year we are right on to them and force the oppo back towards their own goal where we can reorganise and take away the threat.

pikey, Hodges really has grown in his new position for us and after a not so good start there now gives man of the match displays most weeks. I was just trying to find out who merse would drop for say Ellis, I knew he would choose Woods, that is why I chose Hodges. ;D

What nowadays constitutes a foul in the box, we saw last Sunday in the Man U v Chelsea game where someone got the other player with both hands around the waste and dumps him to the ground - ref sees it and gives nothing.
Last night and against Rushden Sills had hands around his throat, ref in plain sight and nothing given. He gets no protection and gets kicked from pillar to post most weeks.
Umpteen times we have seen shirts pulled to a comic effect that you could fit three heads into the hole (or one if you are from Exeter).
Then we have that stupid shielding the ball for a goal kick ploy, anywhere else its obstruction.

Phil the problem of players getting handled in the box is getting worse, it is time a few more penalty's were given for such fouls and then we would start to see and end to it.
Sills gets plenty of rough stuff to deal with and if those fouls were outside the box then a free kick would be given, so why do they not get given in the box, a foul is a foul and it should not matter on what part of the pitch it happens.

I was amused when somebody on the popular side called Wrexham's number 17 - Simon Spender - "Shirley Bassey".
Didn't get the laughs it deserved.....
