Yes the pitch is a disgrace, but I do not think we have started very well and our defending was poor for Histons goal.
We need to up our game I'm afraid or else we may find we will lose out again.

Not happening at the moment, they won't let us play some 'proper' football.

As it stands at half time we are still going to Wembley, the pitch is poor but its the same for both teams and we have been second best all over the pitch in my view.
So much hit and hope balls being hoofed up front and the only time we get it to Sills, he shoots from an imposable angle when he should have squared the ball to Carlisle.
Lets hope Bucks gets them playing better in the second half as I'm sure if we do not starting playing our game and getting more influence on the game, we are in danger of having a second goal put past us.
Our fans there are playing their part and making all the noise, the players just need to be first to balls and not second as they have been.

If we are going to go through I think we'll have to score. The longer it stays 2-1 the more space there will be to do it

....Robbo,Todd and Greavsie immense.
Poke excellent....and a great save at the end.
Histon got what they deserved when they "shinned" virtually every effort on goal.......crap doctored pitches shouldn't be the difference.
....I didnt go to wembley last season, couldn't face it, didn't much care about the trophy after the city game.
....cant wait now ;D

It really was a poor game to watch, but it was the result that was all that mattered at the end of the day, we are now just one game away from becoming a league club again. That game will be played on a pitch that we will be able to pass the ball on and there is no reason why we should not believe that this our year. While we still were not able to get the ball down and play much football, Benyon did trouble them at times. A few better touches from him and we could have scored, but our defense battled so hard after the break and apart from the last five minutes, you did not feel Histon had a second goal in them. The most important thing is we have taken one more step than last season and unlike last season we did not throw the game away. I hope Surrock recovers as I feel he would shine on the Wembley pitch, but we will have Benyon to start if not and he will give all he has got . Well done boys, well done Paul Buckle, that should keep the knockers at bay for a while
