We gave a solid and good performance against Kettering and looked in my mind a champion winning side, dreams can come true and what a story tale ending to our season it would be if we won the title on the final day of the season.
Burton while losing a man early in the game were well beaten by Crawley Town and it makes the easy points they got against Weymouth even more maddening.Still its all about us and what we do out on the pitch and you would think out of us and Burton we must be the team with that bit more confidence going into this game.
With Mansell back in defense and Robertson growing ever better as he gets more games, I feel we are looking stronger in defense than we have lately. Wroe showed in the Kettering game why he has to start as he is the best passer of the ball we have in midfield.
Chris Hargreaves gives everything and can't be left out, near the end yesterday he gave the ball away four times on the trot and maybe could have done with coming of for the last 15 Min's and Thompson coming on, but thats just my view.
Dsane drove me a bit mad in the first half, he could not seem to be able to beat his man, but he played well in the second half and I would expect Bucks to stick with him. Still would prefer to have Carlisle on the left hand side but if Dsane starts I can see Carlisle starting on the right again.
Upfront as long as they both stay fit there can now be only two players who will be starting for us, our Tim Sills and Sturrock, what a display Sturrock gave against Kettering. The likes of Benyon and Green may just have to except at this stage of the season its getting results that is the most important thing and they may not be playing a big part in our final games.
I feel the game is there to be won and could turn out to be one of the most important ones and a game that could play such a big part in deciding who will be going up as champions.

Prior to yesterday I was of the opinion that we should utilise the squad and rotate a few players. However, I don't think you can change the team unless injury intervenes. Would like to see Thompson on the bench as back up for Hargreaves but otherwise, same again please. I'm sure that I read in February that Burton were predicted to win the championship this weekend The pressure is very much on them and they appear to be faltering badly A win there and the Championship is very much on! A loss and the play offs should still be achievable for us. Hopefully a Setanta performance as per the Oxford game which I think was the more difficult match.....

I don't think we will push Burton for the top spot - not a negative reflection on the team, just too much to turn-around at this stage. However, a win tomorrow will get everyone sensing a Burton "wobble" and it would need to see us getting two more points (and winning the game in hand - away at Barrow won't be anything but tough) from the remaining games to set it up for a final day-shoot-out - assuming Cambridge don't pip both of us - which is entirely possible!! That said, Burton's run-in after tomorrow Histon, Kiddy and Oxford before coming to Plainmoor on the final day! If they do take top spot then they will have deserved it.
Last season we didn't do ourselves justice at Burton and were out of the game at 2-0 until Benyon's excellent finish (before they added a 3rd and Mansell saw red). We were missing Hargreaves and they over-ran us in midfield and a well drilled Burton beat a newly-forming TUFC team fairly comfortably in the end. This time see's a Burton side that have lost 4 out of their last 8 games - and us unbeaten in 10.
Certainly the 10 match unbeaten run is something that must give us confidence - Burton have clearly stuttered in recent months and were hammered at creepy-Crawley yeserday. One thing that I don't think that they will suffer from is the weight of expectation from their crowd like we do - the recent defeats to Salisbury, Ebbesfleet and Crawley won't have a section of the crowd screaming at the team like the same results cause some of our "supporters" to do so!
I think we have more or less a fully fit squad to choose from and options for EVERY position in the team one way or another. I can't see that we would make any changes to the starting line from yesterday, although perhaps some midfield cover from Thompson might be added to the bench in place of Christie? It's funny how people see things differently Dave (and I'm not saying either of us are right or wrong)!!- I thought Dsane was superb yesterday, his all-round contribution to the game meant that Kettering were really on the back-foot down their left hand side for much of the game. If it wasn't for Sturrock, he would have been my MOTM. I think that Mansell and Carlisle compliment each other very well - and the same goes for Nico and Dsane.
A win tomorrow night will get us dreaming again (easier said than done - even if Burton have managed to get 8 less points than us over the last 8 games) ..... I would love to be there tomorrow - however I'm flat-out with financial year-end without taking a 1/2 day on Monday an being bleary-eyed and hoarse-throated on Tuesday!! Reckon we'll get about 350 there tomorrow.

I will be at this one tomorrow. Despite being on a THREE game defeat run at Torquay games, i feel we are gonna get something from tomorrow as something is happening at the Pirelli...
Ground No.46 for me as well....

Whats parking like up there? SatNav reckons it's an hour and a half from here (Between Oxford and Cheltenham), so that might be 2 if there is traffic, and I leave work at 5.30. Gonna be a bit tight, and a pain if the nearest place to dump the car is a mile away!

This season is going to have more twists than a bag of pasta. With Stride (def) & Harrad (pos) out, who knows how it may affect their balance. A win tonight and that will really put the pressure on. Can Burton reallistically beat Histon, Oxford & Kiddie? 2 points dropped from these then ALL we need to do is win our next 4 to set up a sell out finale. easy really buster

Surprised Thompson isn't in there> Dsane hobbled off so may not have quite recovered yet
