Green on for Benyon, Robertson on for the injured Todd, Carayol for Stevens. Our last hope, 25 minutes to go.

Horrible defending at the back by Hargreaves and it's 0-2.
A dreadfull game, hardly created any chances...

A nightmare performance ! Final score 0-2. Totally disjointed all over the park, and Hargreaves badly exposed for second goal confirming he is NOT a central defender, and we badly miss him in central midfield. Hardly any moves or goal attempts of note and we were comfortably beaten. I just hope Buckle sorts things out, starting by putting Hargreaves back in midfield.
O.K. it's early days and all that but we were so poor you can't see how we can make any sort of promotion challenge. I've seen a lot of rubbish over the years, and this was as bad as anything, a real low ebb if you forgive the pun. A chorus of boos at the final whistle and who can blame them.

Having only watched the second half, but have to agree that was very poor indeed, Its hard to want to feel positive after watching that. Hargreaves must come out of the back four, we need to give Green a full start. Why are we always so bad in front of the camera's.

Well it's over now Dave. Setanta from the Midlands can't look any better from our boys at the ground.
First thing to say from me is that Ebbsfleet deserved the win. They passed the ball and played as a team. I felt that we were very disjointed.
2 things - Hargreaves = beck in midfield. Carayol to start.
OK three - Wroe had a woeful game, but he wasn't the only one.
V.V.Disappointed. Early days. We must improve.
I feel it will come and will remain patient.

Just read Swangull and it looks like I've parroted him.
What I didn't like to hear was the 'Buckle's a w@nker' chants.
Will wait to read what those at the game have to say.

midlandstufc its over now? I know my silly mood is ;D
Your are correct the best team on the night won the game, what was a major concern( waits for andygulls to jump in) was the fact we never created one really good chance, that I saw, Roberson cleared one or two balls but he looked very unsure as well.
So we must play Woods or give Ellis a chance again, that second goal, the ball should have been put out to touch.

I never heard those, but there was plenty of booing at the end, not sure what the gate was, but the way things are money wise for people, many more games like that and gates will really start to fall.

I always liked Ellis but it seems he's had a poor pre-season. Not been a fan of Steve for a couple of years but it may be his time to prove me wrong.
Not 'one good chance'? Did we have any?
Good kick up the backside coming on for the players I think.
Positives eh? - Nicholson. Not much else, I'm sorry to say.

A chorus of boos at the final whistle and who can blame them. Well that piss poor excuse for a home crowd are rapidly becoming a millstone around the club's neck. Yes, a poor performance and a night full of frustration and rapidly evaporating confidence BECAUSE those village idiots on the Popside can only throw abuse and get out sung by a few dozen visiting fans. On dirty nights like that success can be achieved through close knit endeavour and everyone sticking together................Ebbsfleet worked harder because they found encouragement from their better touch whilst OUR team badly needed encouragement because the confidence was shot to pieces. I say this to anyone who was there tonight - STAND UP AND BE COUNTED if you want success! I've seen Benyon and Stevens twice now this season and they can't punch their way out of a paper bag. I've seen Thompson and Wroe twice also and reckon they could do with being split up as they're too much alike....................maybe an opportunity to play Hargreaves just in front of a back two - Thommo and Wroe either side ahead of him and two strikers with body strength and pace up front.................... Sills/Green or Dsane/Green? If you do that then the fullbacks need to push on and Mansell and Nicholson could do that surely. Forget this game - write it off as it's a setback nothing definitive. We weren't at it tonight, deserved nothing and defended appallingly against the counter attack. You get these nights, all teams get these nights; take it on the chin and regroup for Saturday!

Merse, I just think it's an over-inflated ego of a few of our fans who think we have a god-given right to go back up. We're a small club, we must realise that. I agree with all you say. Imagine what long-standing Oxford fans feel like?

Merse I do think its a bit hard of you to blame the fans, times have changed, if fans don't like what they see, after paying to watch, they will make their fellings known, maybe it will wake up a few of the players at the club.

The first time I have had the displeasure to watch the Gulls this season and on this showing there is a real possibility that we could be battling at the wrong end of this division. The most miserable inept performance I can remember. This was the Non League football I expected last year but looks like we have had to wait a season! Totally and utterly clueless every player lacking confidence, outfought and out thought and hardly won a second ball all night - unforgivable. Where was the drive and passion, Its totally disappeared. Perhaps now all of the Zebroski and Phillips knockers realise what they are missing. Whatever you had last season Bucks you have certainly lost it mate. Hargreaves at CB when he is far more effective in midfield, I just don't get it Wroe looks average at this level at best AND WE HAVE PROPER DEFENDERS SITTING IN THE STANDS. I bet he still persists with it! This is a dangerous time for us I have seen it so many times when the confidence and belief just slowly ebb away. Crawley Town next now who plays up front for them?
