To be honest I would not expect us to be, I wonder what odds Exeter were at the start of last season. No one could rightly expect us to go up this season into division one, yes its possible and many teams over the years have had back to back promotions, but I'll settle for a good solid first season back. Mid table or higher would be great and its far better to build slowly and get it right than going up when we may not really be ready. It will do us no harm to be in league two for the time being, I would hope over the next few seasons we will see gates rise and the club getting the support it fully deserves. We will see an increase in this seasons gates, but not enough to maintain a competitive first division team. I'm sure Merse had a good bet on TUFC going up last season, mind you has he said how much he won and on that point did any other member have a bet on us and what odds did you get? I think 25/1 sounds about right to this non betting man, but with the board we have and the ambitions that are at the club, it might just be a bet we should go for.

did any other member have a bet on us and what odds did you get? I had 7/1 on 8 August and bet each way for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Won bugger all because we missed 3rd place to Histon on goal difference. And I've still the slip from 1987/88 when the odds were 100/1 for the championship and 25/1 for a placing. And we all know what happened!

And we all know what happened! You should have backed us with the sponsors (Blue Square)! Like you, I had an each way punt on us at 7/1 back in August, before a ball had been kicked ... and was delighted that we managed to pip Stevenage to fourth spot on the final day as Blue Square paid out on the first FOUR placings! Not a hige win, but at least it paid for my travel to Wembley!
