Well we all know that CityLink isn't going to be with us from next season onwards without going any deeper into the reasons behind it, but this means a new sponsor and definitely a new home shirt and probably a new away kit aswell (unless the club just slaps a sticker on the current white shirts). So I thought I'd start a thread on who you want or who you think will be the new sponsors and what the new kits will look like.
Firstly, thank the lord we might actually have a yellow home shirt from next season rather than playing in mango or whatever it was, it's still crappy Vandanel (why the board persists with them I don't know) but we can't have everything. Also I hope the away shirt changes aswell back to the old black/white stripes to respect the club's history, something based upon the Newcastle United shirts would be nice:
As for the sponsors the only two local companies I can think of that really have the kind of clout to sponsor us would be WKD or Pro Direct Soccer, Pro Direct is based in Newton Abbot but is getting really really successful in selling boots/gear etc, when Aldershot came down here to play last year, the entire team went off there to get new boots for the game and they're like the #1 online retailer of football goods in the UK, so they must be raking in the cash. Of course Carlsberg were sniffing around the shirt sponsorship last season so they might be a contender again but I really can't see what they'd gain from supporting a League Two team when they have deals with the likes of Liverpool.
So your thoughts ?
