At 35,089, was Sunday's attendance the biggest ever to witness a Gulls victory?
If so, has this been mentioned anywhere yet?
It was certainly bigger than the 1991 play-off final vs Blackpool (21,615).
We've lost the 3 other games at Wembley.
I checked for 1971/72's 1-0 win at Villa Park (only 28,112 in the 3rd division!).
The game that took us to our first Wembley appearance - the 2-0 away win @ Molineux (22,532 - where I had 1 of the 440 seats they gave us).
Can anyone think of any BIGGER games that we won?
If not, that's a worthy new RECORD, of which we can be justly proud (even if we were in the minority!).
Over to the statisticians/historians - Jon; Barton; Merse?
