I think we also had Ndah's brother Mickey on trial at the same time, but he chose to stay semi-pro with Molesey & continue working as an estate agent. Jamie Nda was an estate agent, dunno about any "Mickey" but his brother George turned out OK didn't he!

Never particularly rated him in his spell here with us - but Stephen Reed has today moved from Cambridge United to Weymouth on a two year deal.
Yet another of that P/O Final squad who has moved on from Cambridge - if Jimmy Quinn had still been there then McEvilly, Carden and Pitt wouldnt have re-signed either - although I suspect Reed would still be there!

Eh! Racism against the north? Surely uncalled for. In the Midlands they call me Cornish or French!(?) What's that all about? there's plenty of bumpkins up here.
So, what is there to do in Yorkshire, Barnsley? Whippets? Ferrets? Flat-cap skimming? Hovis baking? Sorry! It's the ginger hair on me bonce, it send me maad! You think you've got it bad! ginger and ugly! That's why my knuckles have calluses!

Paul Hall has signed for Newport County. He played one pre-season game for Bromsgrove Rovers (my soon to be local team). Shame he didn't sign for them, would have liked to see him play again. Seeing his name mentioned brough back wonderful memories of seeing him almost single-handedly destroying Birmingham in the cup.
Talking of Bromsgrove Rovers, they are currently managed by Duane Darby.

Ex-Plymouth Argyle starlet and Torquay loanee Reuben Reid, who has spent some time on loan at Oxford, has joined League Two Rotherham.

I went to see the Brentford V Watford friendly match today at Griffin Park.
It's lovely to see that some things don't change. Alan Connell came on after about 65 minutes today. After being caught offside twice this guy went spare in front on me and shouted "For f$%ks sake Connell, it's when the ball is played!!". ;D

I always thought Connell was a quite a talented player, but he just didn't understand the offside rule.

I fully agree, but you might just find he was a little to light weight to please Merse, he likes the big ones.

Brentford had him and Charlie McDonald up front today. I would imagine that they could be quite a handful in league 2 this season. Watford, Tommy Smith and Ulises De La Cruz apart, were awful. I hope they aren't pinning too many hopes on Tamas Priskin because he's hopeless.

I always thought Connell was a quite a talented player, but he just didn't understand the offside rule. A striker who can't figure out how to stay onside is about as much use in a side as a Toby Jug! It's basic, it's easy and it's certainly not rocket science................to me the guy was just bloody thick and should stick to autograph hunting. If I was a tired old defender suffering because a muppet like that kept giving possession away when I need a breather he would have been "sorted" on the training ground with a hospital pass, a crash tackle and a few months in re-hab!!!!
