The Sherpa final was magical because little Torquay had gone to Wembley and taken the lead... at the time it was the stuff of dreams.
The Blackpool final was nerve jangling
Southend was a fantastic day
but at the moment for me Sunday 17 May 2009 tops the lot...why?
1. It really felt like we had won a cup, not just promotion. 2. Great view atmosphere and stadium. 3. This was potentially a defining game for Utd. Failure to go up could have seen us on a slow but gradual decline. BSP will be tough next year and a re builing of the squad may have been needed for various reasons. 4. Good to meet some forumites & Bruce, hopefully won`t be too long before we meet up again. 5. Finally the achievement is arguably greater given the mess we were in just 24 months ago.
Phew.......one things for sure we ain`t a boring mid table club.

Boring, we should replace the Gulls logo with a Rollercoaster logo, never ever boring! We should be sponcered by Alton Towers for Christs` sake!

The club will now have to spend money on a 'Trophy cabinet' or try and find the old one!!
