I've been wondering what kind of reception Lee Phillips will get on Sunday? He was one of my favourite players last season and was always a problem for defences with his hustle and bustle style. From the Cambridge games i've seen on Setanta, he seems to be doing it for them now. Respected by their fans, as he was by ours when he was with us. I hope he gets a warm welcome for what he did for us last season and then goes on to have a stinker! My fear is that he'll play a blinder and Todd and Robbo won't be able to handle him. It really would be a kick in the teeth if he came back to haunt us, as so often happens in these cases. He'll be fired up for it, no doubt, having lost the previous two years when he's been there.

He deserves a warm welcome, I don't see any reason as to why it would be any other way. I'm sure the moron element of TUFC fans will find something though...
One thing I do know for sure is that we're going to have to score two goals on Sunday, as Phillips will undoubtedly stick to the old footballing cliché that you have to score against your old club!

He deserves a warm welcome indeed - I shall be taking my flame thrower!

He played against us at Rushden. No particular pro or anti noises. Poor sod got taken off with a head injury early on. He'll be pumped up for sure, though we ought to have the measure of him. I hope.
It's the creating space that Rendell is adept at that probably poses the greater threat.

He had a warm welcome from us when he wore his Weymouth colours. This time he only get a nod from me and no more.
We are now the underdog, going into a one off game. Forget the venue and any ex player and concern yourself with what we can do to effect a positive result for Torquay.
