Well it was great to meet Jamie and Jim tonight for the first time. We met at the Noah's Ark and went in two by two. Did get in trouble with that Jim, well how did I know his elephants were girls. I have seem them lots of times, I just never looked.
Any way we had a great chat about how the forum is going and yes, we talked about TUAFC, Jamiie brought over some of is Bambers Foot to look at and some of his Capital gulls rags. Boy that Merse has done some writing in his time.

Jamiie brought over some of is Bambers Foot to look at and some of his Capital gulls rags. Boy that Merse has done some writing in his time. I was truly distraught the way that the CG mag demised. I don't wish to go into details but it was very much against my wishes. Writing as the Jellied Eel in Bambers for Hayden was a great pleasure and I take my hat off to him for putting up with my hand writing in those far off days pre-computer! I attempted to set up a Jelly's Diary in blog form once, went to great time and effort in creating a "masterpiece" only to lock myself out of my OWN blog ;D so it's floating around out there in cyberspace somewhere!

I would just like to point out as well the excellent contributions from the poor old sucker who had to translate the Jelly's wonderful hand-writing into the typed word for many years before he finally found out that buying a computer might be the way to go - oh actually wasn't that just after the demise of the CGs mag? PS Any doctor would be proud of Merse's hand-writing

Ahyes the CG mag. I was a member even though I lived in sunny Torbay... well, I am from hertfordshire originally, so I guess I can claim to be a CG of sorts... even did a match report from the Cheltenham home game that was p-p'd twice, think it was the season MB ordered loads of sand to put on the pitch & cocked it up even more!

PS Any doctor would be proud of Merse's hand-writing Dunno about being a doctor, but I tried convincing one of the "Belgian Cousins" that I was a gynaecologist the other day, and got through the best part of a bottle of Vodka in a vain attempt to persuade her to let me give her a demo! ;D

Like the retired gynaecologist who used to go back every Monday, as he said it was always good to keep his hand in....
