...Congratulations Merse and Bijou for the safe arrival of little Calvin (nice name by the way ) Now how you feel re the operating theatres....Emma had all 3 of ours by Caesarean.....and i managed to split my theatre trousers the last time . To handle that little tiny bundle barely seconds after their arrival is a very emotional moment........a feeling that i hope may be replicated by Sills powering home the winner in the 90th minute at wembley in 2 weeks time

I would prefer it if he powered in the third goal after 20 minutes! It would be nice to have a relaxing game as a TUFC supporter for a change.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their best wishes ~ both on here and by text as well ~ and I am hopeful that Bijou and Calvin will be back home tomorrow. Now I'm a bit clearer in thinking I will tell you that Calvin got into a bit of a pickle on his way into the world last night with his umbilical chord wrapped around his neck and his shoulders stuck so that although his head was protruding the rest of him could not budge....................a very scary experience and whenever his mum had a contraction he was struggling to fight the chord choking him and what I remember mostl clearly is being offered a chair to sit on (so I guess they thought Dad was going to make a tit of himself and feint) and staring in horror at the array of theatre instruments lined up for the surgeon. I've got loads of pictures on my digital camera, but as a lifetime technophobe I haven't a clue how to even get them onto my computer let alone email them to Dave. However, if you give me a little while to get my brain around all this I'll get 'em on here with the help of someone who does have a bit of brains in this department. Once again, on behalf of Calvin and Bijou ~ sincere thanks!

Well done Bijou and congratulations to all the family. What do Anthony & Olivia make of their little bro?
I really hope we all get the chance to meet up when we visit the Green Man in Wembley in the not too distant future ....

Well done Bijou and congratulations to all the family. What do Anthony & Olivia make of their little bro? Anthony and Olivia went to their Auntie's nearby when Bijou went into hospital. Oli had found the commotion of her mum's contractions too much and had become distressed and Anthony burst into tears when he saw his mum put into the ambulance.......................not a lot of dignity in going to hospital around here I'm afraid what with a swarm of kids surrounding the back doors having come swooping down from the football "cage" and even getting a football stuck under the vehicle! When I spoke to them on the phone yesterday morning they were adamant they preferred going to the fun fair in Clissold Park and that they didn't want to come to the hospital, they would "see Calvin when he came home" ......................kids eh? When they eventually turned up yesterday tea time, in company with three of their cousins and looking like a gang of street urchins; Anthony appeared as if he had just stepped off a rather muddy Wembley pitch and Olivia clutching a big Hippo for her new brother looked like she had been dragged through a hedge backwards. Anthony's grin would have gone right around the back of his head had he not got ears , but Oli reckoned she was expecting a "bigger one" then her new little brother turned out to be ~ I think her mum missed the irony of that and I didn't translate it for her in the circumstances!
