Nice to see the club trying to encourage a bit more noise from the terraces. If ever there was the need for us all to get behind the team Sunday is it and the Brazilian style samba band pretty much fits the bill. It will add to the occasion there will be a packed ground and a tense atmosphere but personally I am going with a completely open mind as the result could be just about anything you can think of. If the players give it thier all you cannot honestly ask for any more and patience will be key as I believe Burton will do what Barow did and invite us to break down a packed back line and midfield and hit us on the break with speed. If they have done their homework and we play with the Dsane /Carlisle each side I think we will struggle and its going to need something a bit different from the manager to out think our former manager. Maybe Ellis would give us more on set pieces and its this area of opportunity that we have failed to exploit as much as we did last term when we seemed to threaten at every corner or free kick. I would be very surprised though if there were any drastic changes in personal even though they have continually failed to deliver at this crucial stage of the season. Whatever I will go with my open mind , enjoy what I can, cheer the lads off the pitch and hopefully come away with my sanity intact. We've seen it and experienced it all before havent we??

What ever happens on Sunday will not effect my sanity as I lost it years ago! People are always telling me I must be bonkers going to watch and support TUFC, I larf in their collective face! Sometimes the laugh gives it away though!

Pete its going to be a great day and the entertainment will just add to the party feeling. No matter what happens I'm going to enjoy my day at Plainmoor and I know I will always remember it. Just hope I live long enough to put an account of it on our history board. ;D I was thinking back today to an entertainer who once graced Plainmoor, now I will need some help with his name and at what game it was, but whenever I have thought about him I crack up laughing my head off. He was billed as a human cannon ball catcher, well I have never seen an act like his before. I was expecting to see this cannon ball come flying out the end at speed, then hit him with some force that knocked him back a bit. What happened? the cannon ball came out so slow and up in the air, he had to run forward just to get underneath it so he could catch it. He never got booked again and I know why

Like I said on another post, filled with excitement and terror at the same time about Sunday. Can't wait though.

There`s no need to talk about Neville Southall that way, and it wasn`t a cannon ball it was a football, or maybe I was at a different game!

I do hope a few will make their way into the gulls nest after the game, Lewis will be there with Grahame and will be presenting the signed shirt to stuartb, so pop up and have a drink and say hello to Dave R if you have not already met me, if you already have you may well decide to head straight for home

It's got all the ingredients of a cracker - though the tension will likely be unbearable at times. Two of the very best teams in the league, going toe-to-toe in front of the cameras, with both needing a result. It's what being a football fan is all about. The table suggests Burton are the best team in the League, but their form is ropey at best. We perform best against better opposition but at the same time our own home form is questionable. It's difficult to know what to expect - or dare to hope for! Hopefully the crowd will be large and loud, and the players will put on a show to both justify the support and prove how much of a help we can be. An early goal for us and the game could live up to all expectations - the crowd will be bouyant, and any thoughts Burton had of holding on to a 0-0 will go out the window. The longer the game stays scoreless, the higher the stress levels will be on the terraces. Every other person will have their ear glued to a radio, or checking the internet on their phone. Results from elsewhere will filter through and affect the mood of everyone - one way or the other. And at 4.50 (or thereabouts) it'll all be over. Hopefully the result will be such that we can all celebrate, but chances are one of us is set to go home unhappy. It's what we do it for.
