Reading Sam's post got the old brain cells working overtime again, mind you I do feel sorry for our Sam not having a lady to call his own at this time. Maybe I can do another appeal? it worked so well last time Sam questions if with all the things going on in his life if he should do with out the extra heartache being a football fan brings. Here is the big question to you all, could you really live without football in your life? OK we end a season down the pan as our team failed for what ever reasons, but when the season is over and there is no football to watch, don't you miss it like hell? Start counting the days to the start of the new season?. I really would be surprised if many on here felt they could just give up watching the game for ever, find something else to watch instead. Yes being a fan is not always easy, will keep you short of money, will reduce you the big grown man to a crying baby at times, but tell me what if anything is better.

Never would I give up watching football. It's an important part of my life and it's also made me who I am today. Of course there a more important things in life, as a newly dad since 6 months I'm well aware of that.
The season we went out of the league was a "horrible" time for me as well as my partner. Face on thunder almost every weekend. However it doesn't weigh up to the immense proud feeling I got when I saw the team walk out on the Wembley pitch last season. Or seeing United play Sheffield Wednesday off the park on a rainy day at Hillsborough in the 04/05 season. A shame it lasted only 54 minutes...

the answer is a big NO . for me football is not just about being a fan of torquay ,as Ive said before (yawn) also a qualified coach involved in youth football ,also just nuts for football whether it be a live game ,or sdl down the park ,i wont be far away. for me as a fan of torquay ,i realize their will be more lows than highs ,however would not have it any other way. ,as a fan of torquay ,in my time i have been treated to four trips to wembley ,automatic promotion cant be for a club of our size. and on the flip side ,2 relegations from what is now league 1 ,and then to the bsp. football is all about emotions ,i work n/shift ,and have often gone to work straight from a match .the moping about all night when we have lost a game i thought we would win ,the record output when we have won and well. as a youth team coach ,watching one one of my lads celebrate scoring a goal like he had just won the world cup..priceless,trying to find the right words when they have lost ..hard. what would i do if their was no football ,shopping trips with the Mrs ..leave it out ,might gets some jobs done at home (please her indoors ;D) ,think i would be a lost soul

If you read Chris Hargreaves blog tonight, it highlights that at the end of the day, no matter how passionate we feel about it at times....
Its only a game.
