Heres me on Cleethorpes with the lovely Sally and the coach driver. I was a member of the travel club in the late seventies and these were the days when the coach left at midnight for trips up north.We arrived,I think about 7am,so there was a lot of time to kill before the match. I never knew the reason for leaving so early,presumably to avoid heavy traffic.  Hi Timbo, to see you is to know you! The early running time was simply to save money. By dividing his journey into two working days (i.e.with a seven hour break in between) only one driver was required. Theoretically, he should have spent the day tucked up in bed and NOT with the lovely Sally for company!  |

Another Trip I made on that coach.
As I recall Sally was quite a favourite with many!
Arrived early, found a cafe with a pool table and had a decent breakfast and hung around there for quite a while before opening time!!
We had a man sent off early in the game justifiably for a very crude challenge....Peter Darke I think but the old grey cells are going and I threw away all of my notebooks with my ground visits and stats in some years ago.

What was sally's surname as I travelled with a girl and her grandfather from Brixham in the late seventies. she (allegedly) had a bit of a fling with Mr Kruse.
Is she the same girl?

I can`t remember her surname,but it`s on the tip of my tongue. I don`t believe it`s the same girl you`re thinking of because I don`t recollect her ever traveling with her grandfather. I do remember a different girl who used to travel with her grandfather. |
