It is becoming increasingly likely that we could have one of those horrible last days when we are trying to win a football match whilst desperately listening out for another team to do us a favour.
The team that may very well need stopping on the last day is Histon and the team we are relying on to stop them is Crawley.
I've always admired the character and integrity of Mr Evans, and Mr Raynor is a lovely man too. Be nice to them both on Saturday!

Write my PO Box address in black eyeliner on the brown envelope Mr Beck. It's not as if the neutrals wouldn't want it, eh.

I can't see those two wanting anyone one winning the title against them at their place on the last day of the season. However, it may be prudent not to overly wind them up ;D

Paul Raynor, a short history....
25th & 28th May, 1988. Play off final v Swansea
Played in the two play-off games that Swansea won (when the final was a two-legged affair) therefore denying us promotion in our last game of the season (and had one or two 'moments' with Dave Caldwell!)
15th & 18th May, 1994. Play off semi-final v Preston North End
Cheated in the 2nd leg, our last game of the season, to get Darren Moore sent off and so ruined our chances of reaching the Wembley final.
2nd May, 1998. Away to Leyton Orient.
Played in the last game of the season, a game we needed to draw for automatic promotion and which we lost 2-1. Ran up and down the touchline 'warming up' in front of the United fans, goading them until asked to move elsewhere by officials.
26th April, 2008. Home to Crawley.
Assistant manager in our last game of last season that we lost 2-1 which meant we had to endure Exeter City in the play-offs and all the heartache that entailed.
And here we are in the position where his team could end our title hopes...
Over the years he only seems to have turned up for the last game of the season and then only whenever we have a vital promotion game; then puts 'a spanner in the works'. Was he really put on this earth to do this to us? Is he our arch-nemesis? Is there a bigger jinx on our club in recent history? Indeed in our whole history?
Boy, does this man owe us on saturday!?
(ps, apologies to those who may've seen an abbreviated version of this history that I placed elsewhere)

Mr Raynor is indeed a fat and obnoxious git.
