So we will soon be voting who we think is our player of the season, now just for a bit of fun please vote for your player on this poll, we will see how close it comes to the one that TUFC will be doing.
So lets find out who you think should get the award and why you think he deserves it.

Hargreave for me - a player that the youngersters should look to emulate - but more importantly I believe that for our team this season his attitude and performances on the pitch have driven us on even when it looked like we were starting to falter.
I would also be happy to see Bevan, Mansell or Sills win it. Woods would certainly have figured if he was here to complete the season.

I've gone for Wroe as Player of the Season, but I'm still hopeful that Blair Sturrock will prove to become (to borrow the American term) our Most Valuable Player.

I've gone for that man, Tim Sills... the one player we haven't been able to do without all season. It's always a case of 'who's going to partner Sills up front?' because he creates as much as he scores, has strength of mind and body and times every leap for the ball with perfection. Alongside Blair Sturrock, the cumulative season strike rate looks set to rise exponentially. Scott Bevan's my number two and I would be equally happy to see him claim it. Keeper's been a tough position for us to fill for some time but I believe Scott's one of the best we've ever had between the posts. His aerial domination of the area and quick wittedness/bravery during goalmouth scrambles has saved our defence a hell of a lot of effort this season. I tip my hat to him Third place is a tie between Mansell and Hargreaves. Their dogged determination sums up the reason why we're always contenders and don't fall apart. They're our cement. The rest of the squad all have their little inconsistencies in my eyes but all have qualities which make them more than useful, the listed players are our backbone.

Chris Hargreaves for me. The man is a leader on (and off?) the pitch and almost ever-present this season. A true professional and an example for the rest of the squad.
The above could also be said about Tim Sills, although he isn't the skipper.

Really sorry, wanted to stay anonymous... maybe i'm the weakest link, maybe i'm deluded, just possibly I wear rose-tinted glasses... but I was the one who voted for.... Wayne. I just think coming to us on the back of destroying our dreams last season, he then tried hard and scored a couple of cracking goals before injury took it's toll. Then came back and had to endure the 'boo-boys' which affected him deeply. To his credit he turned his back on them and kept going, at times not getting the recognition he deserved. And now he seems to have put it all behind him and is putting in some top notch performances. He is a player who, although not always on the top of his game and having to put up with the aforementioned abuse, has managed to keep a sense of reality, fortitude and perseverance. Not only that but he showed he isn't one to give up by scoring winning goals in the last minutes of important games meaning we are in the position we are now and not looking up at the top teams wishing 'if only'... (That's a pint you owe me Mr Carlisle!)
Yipee!!! Since posting this i've noticed someone else has come in with a vote for him!

...Good shout for Wayne, Budleigh. When fit enough, he has been a key player for us, a player that has turned out to be an inspired signing. The amount of points he has gained us with late goals, often out of nothing is the reason we still have a shout of this league. My vote goes to the guy, i felt should have won it last season too......Sills. He is the one player in our squad who is irreplacable. As well as his hefty stack of goals and numerous assists, he gets kicked to death week in, week out because he is so feared by the opposition. He never shirks a challenge and always comes back for more. He plays on through niggles......and be honest, the amount of poor games he has you could count on one finger. ...Vote Sills

Has to be one of only a few who when injured or suspended just cannot be easily replaced. So Tim Sills for me.

I am going for Bevan.
A lot have said that Sills is irreplaceable, and he pretty much is, however for me the ONLY player we could NOT have managed without is the Bevanator.
He has been awesome in just about every game i have seen. You can count his mistakes on one hand and has he had a bad game?
Its the simple things he does that impress me most. He controls his area very well and the way he deals with crosses is second to none seen at Plainmoor in a very long time. He also has great presence and stature.
On top of that he has pulled off some fantastic saves and has been responsible for keeping us in some games.
An extension to his contract in the summer would be very welcome.

Kev Nicholson for me. His deliveries into the opposing box is something we can't replace and causes all types of problems for the opposition. I only wish that there would be some opportunism by our players on the long throws for that second touch in the box towards goal instead of standing on their heels watching.....

A good response to the poll so far and many have not yet cast a vote so lets see you using your vote.
A few surprises for me in the voting so far, Wroe and Sills leading the pack is no surprise, but one of our leading scorers Benyon has failed to get one single vote so far.
Bevan has scored well as you might expect and some other players who have not scored at all must be down to the fact that they have not really playing that regular.
Woods? are his votes because of how well he had been playing? or a message of support for him?who knows, only those who voted for him I suppose, but my vote went to Wroe.
While he has had a few game where he has been guilty of playing a few misplaced passes, on the whole he has been our best player and I'm sure he will win the award.

Over the season - consistency and all that - I'm going for Kevin Nicholson.
