Will the most important thing announced this week be the signings we make before PB goes on holiday or the press conference detailing the news on the youth set up?

Well Merse did say we had an x manager joining us on Friday. Knowing that at other clubs he worked with youth set ups, it may well be that.

Paul Compton or Kevin Hodges? Well the word was Mr Compton and as I believe he is back here living, seems to fit the bill.

Pleased with the signing of Wroe today. Will be interested to see if the winger has signed and if he turns out to be Carlisle.
Still like to see another forward and no doubt PB wants a keeper.
Compton would be an excellent signing for the youth set up. Did well for us in that role previously and has appeared to have performed well at several other stops since he departed Plainmoor.

Well that boy of mine had posted elsewhere that Carlisle was one of Buckles targets and he believed he would get him. I know I would welcome him here, I have always thought he was a Good player.

Spot on mate I would have Carlisle tomorrow. Speaking to a "Greacy one" today and they think he has returned from injury a better player. I personally thought he was poor in play offs but every other time I have seen him I have been impressed

Paul Compton or Kevin Hodges? Please not Compton Why not? Compton has proved he has qualities when with working in YT. Why would Swansea, Cardiff and WBA have used his services otherwise. I think he will be an excellent appointment to oversee the whole youth set up

Why not? Compton has proved he has qualities when with working in YT. Why would Swansea, Cardiff and WBA have used his services otherwise. I think he will be an excellent appointment to oversee the whole youth set up Let's face it, the current "youth set up" must be wholly inadequate for a full time professional club; but times have changed since we last had the admirable structure we all remember fondly. A lot of the outside funding has now gone and to do it justice, the new structure has had to be "self funding" and to this end a commercial sponsor has had to be sought and secured before any commitments could be made. One again this underlines the foolhardy way in which the administrators of .net allowed abuse of current sponsors, and the TV coverage to go on unabated (I'm not talking about constructive criticism of the intrusiveness of widespread TV coverage on the fixtures and home gates here) whilst Colin Lee was diligently and eventually successfully acquiring such commercial backing. The new Head of Youth will need to be able to utilise his contacts to recruit players of sufficient quality (and to start with that will probably mean offering those who have just failed to get into other club's setups a chance) and stature to be able to work on them as future professionals within the club structure, and we wouldn't have found that in a million years under the current silly scheme with Paignton Community College which appears to pay little or no attention to the actual football potential within the pupil, rather their individual wish to enrol in some "Dream Team" subject as a means to further education. I think this scheme had it's attraction to the previous regime more in the realms of the state funding it could bring into the football club rather than anything else...............but I stand to be corrected on that if I am wrong.

It would be good if the current scheme could also embrace the Tech College along with PCC.
Alex Watson is in charge there and I know a lot of Dads who have promising lads playing in his set-up.
