I once likened our board, to a book that I was given as a child to read, the book was called the secret seven I made many posts stating that our board should be in the fans face so much more as we never seem to hear very much from them.
I did change my views on some matters, this was due to information that had been given to me, I knew that putting it on the forum would be harmful to the club and decided not post any of the details I was give. Plus Merse made good valid posts about how some matters must stay in house and he was right, somethings are best not made public.
I have not changed my mind about the board embracing the fans so much more than they do, like you I feel so happy that our club is now in such safe hands and have no fears for its future. We have seem many improvements made including the Gulls Nest and many others. With all this work now done and the club running as smoothly as possible, maybe now is the time for the board to see what it can do to get closer to the fans.
With gates falling I do think the board should be looking at ways to communicate with the fans much more and it would be good to hear from our chairman. He should be seen as the captain of the ship and he is the one who maybe should be putting out those rally calls to the fans.
I have said before its the one thing I feel is wrong at Plainmoor, the feeling that while I'm still a big fan, the club seems more distant to me, do you feel the same? or is it just me.Good PR hurts no one and the club in my view needs to do more than just open the gates on matchdays and expect fans to just turn up.
