The first two Buckle confidence polls, resulted in me be accused of having a hidden agenda and that I was part of the Buckle out brigade. It was not true then and it is not true now, I see no reason why such questions can't be asked and why fans can't freely express their views on such matters.
On both polls run on this forum, Bucks came out on top and most members voted that they had confidence in the manager. This poll is only to see if things have changed, or if most still have confidence in Buckle the manager to get us into the play-offs.
I will dig up the results for the other polls and post them on this thread soon.

My opinion on this is well documented (and seemingly unwanted by some). I don't think he has the ultimate tactical nouse to get us out of here. I'm still hoping to be proved wrong though.

Dave, I'm not sure those options especially reflect confidence in Buckle, because they are mixing up confidence in he manager and confidence in the team (and with it all the other issues inherent in a sport where, as Merse often points out, there are opponents trying to stop you achieving what you want to achieve - here I specifically mean the quality, or lack of it, in this league). So for me, I still don't think that, overall, Buckle has what it takes as a manager. However, I think the squad will make the play offs thanks to the things he DOES do well, and in spite of his (more numerous, in my opinion) flaws, and because of the relative weakness of the rest of the league. From that point, we may well get promoted. That wouldn't necessarily be enough for me to say Buckle is a good manager. Just as no promotion doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad manager. Does any of that even make sense?! Don't know which option to choose to reflect that, but that's how I see it.

I would agree the players themselves are plenty good enough to compete.

Fonda there is a difference between being unwanted and simply not agreeing with, if at the very start of Roberts days at our club, I allowed myself to worry that my opinions were not only in the minority, but also unwanted by some, then I would not have had the satisfaction of saying I was right from the start. We all are entitled to our own views and as long as we believe them, or are prepared to put our hands up should be be proved wrong, then that is all that can be asked or expected by anyone. Like you said, we as fans are all equal and just because one may feel they don't have faith in the manager, they are no less a fan for having the balls to stand up and say so.

petejones you are correct and I have not really thought out the options well, so my apologies for that but as I can't change the questions once the poll has been posted I'll let it run and maybe do another one some time soon and with better options.

Sorry Dave, didn't mean to suggest my personal opinion was unwanted, merely that anyone who questions the methods and quality of the manager is automatically branded some kind of rebel-rouser. I don't mean just here either. Only those with the incredible patience to maintain total positivity at all times are acceptable 'supporters'. Ours is not to question. It is to watch/endure and hope.

The players being selected at the moment are one-dimensional and the manager is a waffler.
There are players at the club who are capable of lifting the quality of performance but they are not being given the chance to do so.
I'm becoming more convinced that the people who say that the manager has his favourites, who will start every game come what may, have a point.
Time for a shake-up or we will not even make the play-offs.

Whenever the team goes behind I don't ever think we'll come back and get a result out of the match, simply for the fact that we very very rarely do so. If anything this shows a lack of tactical nous, with the resources at hand, Buckle should be getting play offs minimum and this season we're fighting to even get into them.
It's just not good enough and if we don't make the play offs, he has to go, even if we do make them, I'm still not convinced.

Agreed, I cannot remember the last time we came from behind to win a match and the worrying thing now is we rarely score from open play. Buckle really must now take the bull by the horns and play the younger more creative but frustrating in the squad as the likes of Roscoe and Carlisle dont seem to be cutting it. Mussy Danny and Mat Green should now be given their chance to oust Buckles favourites.

Its very interesting how opinions change, I suppose they always will I have no problem with that. What has always amazed me though is the "it’s not the manager’s fault it’s the players” attitude. Sorry, never quite got my head around that one.
We have more than enough quality to get us out of this league nowhere near enough of the correct type of motivation. As people have said before nobody has a right to walk this rapidly improving league but motivation is a big factor in providing confidence to make players think they can.
Am I part of the Buckle out Brigade? Yes I am. But if you are part of the charge you must display an alternative as that is they immediate issue faced by a board when they act to pacify support. Truth is I don't know so I can understand the board standing by their man until the end of the current campaign. But I would be more than willing to take a chance as I feel PB is more than happy to take a non league super wage for as long as we let him this season and beyond and who can blame him for that? Not even me. I'm struggling to believe though that our passionate board wishes us to be an established non league outfit.

I wasn't aware he was on a non-league "super wage". Though I suspect he would rather be on a League super wage next season.
It would be frivolous in the extreme to part company with a Manager mid-season who has taken his squad to just outside the play-off spots with games in hand. It's a sound boardroom we have, not the expectation of Abramovich billions.
If we make the play-offs, then I will be satisfied with our performance over the season.
Re-assess the Manager if knocked out, by all means, but if your re-assessment is that the play-offs are not good enough for your Club, don't expect, as a Board, to get too many world-beating candidates to beat down your non-league door in May, as you will only be paying a non-League wage, "super" or not.
And they will be the first of a revolving door of Managers, with that level of expectation, as your Club deteriorates into becoming a laughing-stock. But if you liked Atkins, the good news is that he'd probably give it another punt.

Comments from todays Sunday Independent:
PB "It's very hard to criticise the players. The first goal came out of nothing and the penalty was of those things"
PB "We suffered from a penalty decision and I don't know what happened on the first goal".
