Yes, well done Jerry. As I'm passing the time waiting for the second half to start on Radio Devon t'internet (aren't I lucky!?), here's an amusing reply from Anton Ferdinand to the question "What was the worst thing you ever bought?" - Answer - "Bobby Zamora, on Championship Manager".
I once got Torquay to League One on Championship Manager 2002. Can I get a job on the staff?

I applied for the England job when Hoddle left because I'd taken the Gulls to the Premiership and won the Champions League on several occasions.
I've still got the rejection letter somewhere. I bet the FA wish they'd gone with me over Keegan...
Edit to add some questions, as this is a quiz thread.
1. Excluding any with the suffix "United", name a team with two U's in their name.
2. Which team's stadium is in two different countries?
3. Which three players have played for Liverpool at some stage in their career and have a Premiership winners medal?
Also seen this on a website:
This has got to be the most ridiculous football trivia question of all time. I first heard it several years ago and didn't know the answer. I saw someone phone up Soccer AM claiming that he had made the question up and it was a hoax, yet still it runs and runs... So do you know the answer?
"What enters the field of play in a football match at half-time, but doesn't leave until the match is over? If it's a Saturday match it leaves after the game, but if it's a mid-week game it remains until the next day... and it only happens in the English Premiership, not in Scotland or the lower divisions..."

These questions relate to British clubs at any level of the game. 1. Name the clubs which have "City" in their name but do not come from cities.
2. Which clubs incorporated "City" into their names when city status was granted at some stage in the 20th century?
3. Which clubs added the name "City" at a random stage of their existence?

Re Barton's 'City' questions
1. I'll suggest Brechin City...doesn't sound big enough to be a 'proper' city.
2. I'm pretty sure Swansea City were formerly Swansea Town.

Good start Alpine. Brechin has a cathedral but is not a city. Here's the cathedral with its round tower: There's another Scottish "City" that isn't.....and a number from England. And, yes, Swansea is one of clubs which became City, shortly after Swansea's elevation to city status in 1969 (as part of Charlie boy's investiture cobblers). There's a handful more...

DGEP - the pitch thingy - shadows?
And for the third LFC player - it's got to be Anelka, yes?

Correct - Elgin is not officially a city. The only "official" Scottish cities are Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and Stirling. More at www.siliconglen.com/Scotland/1_24.htmlAnd in England there are two places within striking distance of London with a confused status which extends to their football teams....
