Turkey for me! Then we can tell the Greeks that we've won one too! Oh please don't let it be the Germans again!

Oh please don't let it be the Germans again! I was driving some Germans and an English guy to the Wimbledon championships yesterday and it was interesting listening to the conversation as it turned to football (Whilst not being able to join in however!)...the German's understanding of English football is that we expend too much energy in the league stages and thus don't have enough to offer when crunch time comes in the semis/final. "Every German knows this" he said "the English have no concept of playing tournament football"Taking this on board, and that the whole tournament is condensed into a short time; I'd say he has a valid point. Why, even the Capital Gulls squad have come to realise this over the years and thus have a very good tournament record of silverware in five out of the past six seasons in the CHAOS Cup. Another point, I reckon the Euros to be a harder tournament to win than the World Cup; as the lowest standard of those involved is a heck of a lot better than their counterparts in the World Cup. Because of it's very nature a World Cup needs to embrace countries from South America, Africa, and Asia that would never qualify through a European group...............I'm not talking Brazil or Argentina here - but they are the only two who are consistently as good as the average European qualifier.
