I was standing right behind you Dave, and endorse everything you said. It was well into half time and there was virtually noone walking past at the time. I did notice that they didn't move and carried on talking! I also saw a steward drinking out of a bottle with a top on!!! One rule for us, one for them. I did my best to attract his attention by making a show of taking the top off my bottle and putting it back on again several times, but he didn't take the bait.

mickyflash you have made some very good points in your post and it really only highlights the mad world we now live in. The world has gone PC crazy for a start, I put in one post the word black to describe someone and was not even sure if it was a word I could still use, without someone having a go at me. You can't even use the word gollywog now, such an Innocent word for so many and I heard on the radio the other day, a black lady so angry as she feels its the middle class whites, who cause so many problems, thinking they need to state was is offensive to black people and other races. It is also very true the world has gone health and safety mad, but I do not believe the problem I'm having, is a result of the club reevaluating its health and safely policy. I believe its only because we have many new stewards and they have been told to keep the yellow boxes clear and the pathway on the popside. Before it has only really applied during the game and I think all that needs to happen to resolve this problem is them being told to just relax things before the game starts. But where does it all end Mickey that is the real big question for me, Merse talked about when the goals were sealed off during the players warm up for the game. Someone some where had been hit by a ball in the stand and so Bateson stopped our team kicking at the goal during the warm up. You are more risk during the game off getting hit by a ball, so how crazy was that silly rule. Will we move on to having to have perspex shields put up to the hight of the stands, to prevent any balls going into the crowd, I mean its still a health and safety risk as it stands now. What about food at the ground, will it have to be bought and eaten in the same place? surely a fan walking on the popside path and stuffing a hotdog in his mouth, is in real danger of choking, if he gets bumped into. Maybe all food should be banned? it will always have the risk of choking you to death anyway, bite off too much, or talk while eating and you could be dead, what a health and safely risk food is. What about standing on the popside, now I always stand in the front and up against the rail. I do this only to make sure I can see the game, I'm not too tall you know, but you have have worked that out due to some remarks posted on here. ;D When I go to the threatre or the cinema, you can always bet I will never get those normal people sitting in front of me. No I get the great big fat ones and the only chance I got of seeing the show, is to look between their heads. God help me if they decide they want to have a kiss, as thats when the show is over for me until they get their tongues back into their own mouths. So the popside is only 10 people deep, but that could still surge forward and trap me on the rail, so we should have a rail on each step, surely it makes good health and safety sense to do so. What about the health and safety risks away fans cause, I stand more chance getting hurt by them. than tripping over Jon's leg as he chats to Chelstongull. All I ask for is a little common sense and let happen what has always happened before and I have never seen anyone fall or trip over any body before, mind you I have been stepped on before on the popside

..Whilst we're all having a moan I have a season ticket in the main grandstand, right on half way and next to the away seating block. At half time if i want to get a coffee or answer the call of nature, i used to have to queue up for ages at the buffet or toilet next to the family stand often i would get back to my seat and the 2nd half would have already started. As we now have so few (normally) away fans i have started to wander down the other end, past the 7 or so old blokes supporting their team quietly after all, there is no real segregation there....very pleasurable quiet stroll, no queues, no fuss and back in the seat within 5 mins. Last night i made the mistake of wearing my TUFC fleece......i was soon stopped by a steward who asked me what i was doing. I politely told him that i only ever walk down this end when there are very few away fans.... "Do it again and your out....got it!" was his rather venomous reply. ....these bouncers are so pleasant arent they

I know some of them personally and they are great, its the gorrillas in yellow that have been taught to speak that are the problem! Some are so thick they follow orders to the absolute letter and have no ability at all to administer any form of common sense, must be very frustrating trying work along side someone like that!

jmgull, these people are employed by our club and they seem to forget we are customers, I would expect the club would take a dim view, of the season ticket holders getting spoke to in this way, as I said where else can you go and get treated like this as a customer.

Yeah most are fine. Remember they all have an allocated number so if you have a problem just note the number and go to reception after. It will be followed up.
