If you hadn't seen or heard..
Big Phil Scolari has got the sack at Chelsea today. He makes it two Premiership managers sacked today, with Tony Adams going earlier today.
I, personally feel Pompey have been a bit harsh with Adams, as, although he's been struggling to get results, some of the football being played is good. Unfortunately, results win points, which ultimately avoid the chance of relegation, and Pompey are down in a battle now, so they had to act quick. I think that Adams could do a job at a lower league club now, and work his way up, as he hasn't had much managerial experience, only at Pompey and Wycombe.
Scolari, in my opinion, hasn't done anywhere near enough for Chelsea. They have dropped points against all their top 4/5 rivals, aswell as Hull and other lesser teams on their own patch. They find themselves in fourth, and seven points away from Man Utd, which, if Man Utd keep not conceding and winning, will soon be even more.

Phil Scolari a man wanted for the England job, a man who has won so much at all the clubs where he has been the manager and now this man is not good enough for Chelsea? If he is not good enough just who the hell will be and who is going to even want the job.
Seven months only and now he has the words SACKED all over his C.V. Does it mean that unless any Chelsea manager has the team in the top spot, that they will also get sacked. So just what is the problem? are the players good enough? is it his tactic's? is it the players do not like him and don't put in the effort?I would think that would not be the case, they are all pros and must want to perform you would think.
Just think back to the start of this season, results not going our way and how easy would it have been for the board to sack Buckle but they kept faith and he turned the results around. All managers walk a tightrope really and at the end of the day it will be the expected results or the lack of them, that will decide if the manager keeps his job.

Step forward mr. Guus Hiddink. He's been a great succes at all the places he worked in recent years. Lady Luck was well on his side but in the end he did a proper job.
Australia, PSV, South-Korea and now Russia.

I see Big Phil is getting a seven and half million pay off, no wonder the game is going to pot and small clubs continue to struggle just to survive.
