Any Blue Square club which goes into administration next season could be automatically relegated, thats The proposal, that has been drawn up by the Conference Board and will go before the competition's annual meeting in the summer.
This will come on top of plans to reintroduce a 'salary cap' for the 2009-2010 season.
Conference chairman Brian Lee has said they are trying to modify the rules so that any club which enters into any kind of insolvency procedure — administration, liquidation or even a CVA — will be relegated."
When you think about the size of some of the gates some teams had had this season in the BSP, you fear that most of the teams in it, will get relegated next season and with the salary cap the standard of players clubs will be able to afford, will drop and I believe the whole league is going to be so much weaker next season.
It does say in the HE, that those out of contract at the end of the season, are likely to get less money next season even if they were to stay with TUFC. That may well be the case and even more reason to hope and pray we get out of this league this season, as the salary cap can only mean a weaker team next season.
