I received an email from our number one history man Jon, it contained a large document from 1914. All he wrote was Dave, I attach an article mentioning your Ant in 1914. How old does that make you? Cheers, Jon.As many of you may know Ant is the registration secretary for the SDL and also a councilor for the Devon FA, I have cut out the part Jon wanted me to read. All I need to do now is find out who he was

Thanks Jon. all the family history I did trace(1861,1891,1901, census) it was mainly the Wood and Best side of my family I found, the Roach side did not seem to have come from newton and was more mid Devon.it is possible there is a link to the A. Roach in Torquay, as it is spelled the same way.

Barton I do have an uncle who is called Ivor,he is still alive I believe and lives in Credtion now, I understand his dad, who would have been my granddad, lived in Kingskerswell and was a builder. I think I remember someone told me he died young due to an injury he got doing his job.
