Ellis to start, Brough steps up to the plate in the middle.

You'd get slightly better odds on Brough at centre-back and Adams in the middle, Chris. Mind you, I'd fancy a 4-3-3 with Greavsie, Thompson and Adams in the middle, but that's as likely as Stevens replacing Bevan. My guess would be Thompson for Wroe. Robertson is more often on the bench, but I'd go with Ellis for the left sided berth as well.

Thompson in for Wroe and Robbo in for Hodges. I would like to see Carayol in for Carlisle but am sure Bucks will start with Wayno.
Hopefully Plummer will get a good run out.

Well whatever the side we put out, hopefully it won't be as abject as performance we put in a little further down the road at Eastbourne. If memory serves me correctly Wroe was substituted by Brough who then went on to put on a midfield display in the style of Bungle from Rainbow.
My apologies for suggesting that Brough would be in tonight's team. I fear that the first coffee of the day was a bit strong.

Hodges is a big loss to the team - his performances have shown why he has played regular football at a much higher level up until last summer. I would like to see Ellis get a chance but am happy enough with Robertson, who I am sure Bucks will go with.
I think putting Thompson in the team for Wroe is a likey change as well. I cant see Brough being given a start again unless there is a significant list of injuries.
All in all, I'd be happy to take a scrappy uninspiring win to get our play-off campaign back on-track. Mansfield had a tough game there on Saturday and in Barness, Cullip and Butters they have plenty of experience and after playing what seems like so few league games for the last couple of months.

I'm pretty sure that Buckle will go for Thompson and Robbo in for Wroe and Hodges.
Good comment earlier in this thread about going back to the 4-4-1-1 formation that brought us a number of good results on the road in the autumn. Obviously Wroe is out which might impact on this and the fact that we are playing a team short on confidence / results might dictate a 4-4-2 instead.
As long as we get 3 points I couldn't care less how we play tonight. We need to get over Saturday and back to winning ways. The result tonight is more important than the performance but only as a one off.

Worrying that we have only scored 4 goals in our last 6 matches.

I think that's slightly harsh Chelston mate. Two of those games were against opposition some 60-odd places above us in the Football League; one was an equaliser against an in-form Wrexham team and one was a winning goal against Weymouth. And don't forget just days before this mini-drought, we stuck four past one of the hottest sides in the division right now. I agree that we haven't been as hot in front of goal as we should have recently, but I have every faith that our strikers will start hitting the back of the net soon. I imagine the occasion got to the players on Saturday as some of the chances we missed were jaw-dropping (DSane blazing over from 8 yards springs to mind). If we had played like that against BSP opposition, we'd have run out winners by several goals. I'm undecided if a game against Lewes is exactly what we need to get the goals flowing or not what we need in terms of a defeat equals shattered confidence. I guess we'll know by 9:30 tonight...

It will be interesting to see how much we have left in the tank for the remainder of the season.
My only slight concern all along has been the use of substitutes and resting key players. Mansell may well last the season but apart from his suspension Sills has had no chance to remain fresh for the run in and given his style of play needs to be rested more.
I`ve written off the title so its all about timing it right for the play offs.
I hope if things are not happening tonight PB makes a positive decision early in the second half not with just 10 mins to go.

Worrying that we have only scored 4 goals in our last 6 matches. They havent scored in their last 4 games or so either so hopefully not a 0-0. A must win game for us and a chance for Thompson and Robertson/Ellis to prove their worth. Canot see a classic just need a win.

Thought I'd finally join the fray and defect from the 'other' side! A new user name though - nothing like a bit of anonymity. Looking forward to the match tonight - as long as I make the train.
