The club have announced a fans forum next Monday night with limited place’s although the event will be live-streamed.- link There will be TUST representation there and they have released the following statement in respect of this: Torquay United Fans Forum – 7pm on Monday 5th August 2024 at The Cove (formerly No. 10’s) inside Plainmoor. Further to the communication posted on the club website this afternoon, TUST would like to take the opportunity to highlight this evening to our members and all TUFC supporters. This is a ticketed event (but free to attend) in view of the capacity in The Cove and hence will be limited to 100 people, so please book your tickets soon via the link on the club website torquayunited.com/fans-forum-monday/. The event will also be streamed online for those who are unable to attend in person. Further details of the livestreaming will follow in due course. The event is very much aimed to sit alongside the “Meet the Manager” evening organised recently, but will focus on the vision of the Bryn Consortium and their Business Plan for the club. As promised, the Bryn Consortium are keen to honour their commitment to transparency and the night will be aimed at providing a real insight into how they see the future of Torquay United. Essential to this future are of course you “the fans”. A panel including co-chairmen Michael Westcott, Mark Bowes-Cavanagh and CEO Joe Lovell will share their thoughts and plans with you and at the same time will articulate the role they believe TUST will have within the club moving forward. Other Board Members are likely to also join the panel in person or remotely. This will lead nicely into the rationale for the investment into the club from the TUST Forever Yellow Fund and the forthcoming Community Share Issue (CSI) to raise funds for further investment. TUST will be represented by Chairman, Nick Brodrick and Board Member, Matt Gorman who will be on hand to answer questions in relation to the CSI. Please note, the event will not be attended by Paul Wotton or Neil Warnock as this is not aimed at being a forum regarding “on the pitch matters”. Instead, it is very much about showing a pathway for how our club is likely to be run moving forward and the hopes and aspirations of the Consortium alongside TUST. After the turmoil of last season, it feels very much like football has “come back home” to Plainmoor and we would encourage all those supporters interested in the long term sustainability of our football club to either attend in person or to log on to watch the session which will be livestreamed. It is sure to be an informative evening. -------------------------------------------------------------------

link - can be viewed anytime. Once again club being fantastically open about their plans with comprehensive details of the community share issue looking at the how, when, why and benefits in respect of this. I am very happy to answer any questions in respect of the CSI either on here or pm as I have been on this group working on it for some time.

Will it be possible to subscribe to the CSI by installments. I really cannot justify forking out £250 in one go on my income as it stands. Also does a share come with voting rights and if so, how long are the voting rights for?

I would just like to add that I thought the forum was very good. The information was exactly what I wanted to know with regards to past, present and future expenditure. It certainly revealed what a shit show this club was under the previous regime. I would suggest all future forums be along the same lines, that is concentrating on finances and commercial and infrastructure projects. The opportunity to meet and question the football management can be handled at different events.

The opportunity to meet and question the football management can be handled at different events. That's a very good call. It's the club that matters most to us, not whether player A is fit for the coming week's game or if we are going to sign any new players.

Will it be possible to subscribe to the CSI by installments. I really cannot justify forking out £250 in one go on my income as it stands. Also does a share come with voting rights and if so, how long are the voting rights for? Funny enough I was speaking to someone at the fans forum about this very point last night who thought it may increase subscriptions. As it stands the Crowdfunder page will be open for an initial four weeks where it will be hoped we will have reached our target though there is scope to extend this for another four-week period. In effect money is held with Crowdfunder until the end of the campaign period where we have either reached the minimum target or if not money will be automatically refunded. Payment by instalments is not really compatible with this and therefore this will be suitable for everyone but if you are not a member of TUST then please join anyway as this will be really useful particularly in light of my comments below. Setting the level was difficult but we have tried to pitch this where maximum funds will be raised i.e. minimum target is £100,000, 200 x gold members at £250 each = £50,000 plus 50 x platinum members at £1,000 each = £50,000 therefore £100,000 and success. 800 subscribers at £100 each = £80,000 and failure. The benefits of investing in the CSI is as follows: (and all this and more will be in a prospectus which will be sent out at the launch of our CSI) Gold Members: Anyone Investing £250 will receive: • Your name on the TUFC 1st Team’s Third Kit launched in October 2024. The names of every investor will be incorporated in on the 1st Team’s Special Edition Third shirt. • TUST Investor Member Share certificate • Invitation to exclusive Meet The Manager (with Paul Wotton & Neil Warnock) Q&A Forum event. • TUST Investor member pin badge. • Name on TUST Investor Member Board to be displayed at Plainmoor. Platinum Members: Anyone investing £1000 or more will receive all benefits of a Gold Member Plus • Your name in “enhanced” font size in the TUFC Third Kit launched in October 2024. The names of every investor will be incorporated on the 1st Team’s Third shirt – special edition. • “Framed” TUST Investor Member Certificate • Invitation to exclusive “Meet the Manager” (with Paul Wotton & Neil Warnock) Q&A Forum • Exclusive reception for major shareholders and guests with players and management. • Invitation to the Torquay United Annual Golf Day & BBQ. • Entry into draws for Director for the Day for every league home game. • Discounted rates on venue hire for your events at Plainmoor. So in respect of voting rights, the community share issue is for shares in TUST and from that investment, TUST will invest in TUFC to continue funding their growth and recovery from administration. As a member of the trust you will have full voting rights in setting policy, choosing TUST board members, putting yourself up for consideration as a TUFC board member and in effect have a direct route to the board room to raise any queries you may have. Hope that helps. Rob

Am I right to presume that £500 will not get you two shares, or £750 will not get you three shares. You either pay £250 or you pay £1000, anything in between offers no advantage to the investor.

That is right, although you may wish to include a family member for example so they get the same benefits if you had set aside £500 as an appropriate and affordable sum.

I would also add that you could extend the inclusion of others to friends who are supporters that are unable to afford to invest. Although making a single investment of £500 would not gain you any extra rewards, you would be making a greater contribution to the success of the CSI.
