For me, it's horrible, reminiscent of 1950s rugby shirts. Who thought this up? Sorry, but we seem to have entered an age of commercial diversity and weirdness.

It's intended to mean that many clubs now seem to be attempting to create a product, for commercial purposes, which is strikingly different to their traditional shirts. Full of icons, logos and strange patterns and blocks of colour. I would make the same comment about the pink palm tree design. Of course it's a matter of personal choice, but in my opinion both are a real eyesore. |

Of course it's a matter of personal choice, but in my opinion both are a real eyesore. You seem to have forgotten the 90s!  Try searching for goalkeeper kits from the 90s, especially David Seaman's from Euro 96, the Huddersfield goalkeeper kit from 1993/94 and various Jorge Campos kits. Not forgetting first team kits from Norwich City, Hull City, Coventry City (home and away) Stockport and Birmingham City to name but five clubs who apparently spilt the ink over the paper at the design stage... This is tame compared to those wild days!  |

link - selling well! In fact listening to Michael Westcott on radio Devon this morning our away shirt outsold Newport home shirt by 2-1!

This is tame compared to those wild days! Yes, I had forgotten Seaman's horrendous fruit pastille jersey! I can't remember any of the other examples which you mention, but age and a stroke seem to have dimmed my memory somewhat! I still think that hoops on shirts are more connectable to rugby than football, but well done to all those who have decided to commit to the latest offering. Good luck to the team next season as well, Wotton and Warnock have done a great job in just a few weeks in assembling a very robust looking squad. |

Getting a lot of use out of my away kit already and it’s been popular with neutrals in terms of comments. Decided to also order the home shirt, which should hopefully arrive fairly soon.
