As others will testify, I can be quite 'mouthy' at matches but today I just felt empty and couldn't muster a shout at all. Having watched the club through peaks and troughs since the mid '50's makes it even worse as we are now at what is almost a 100 year low and our trajectory is still downwards.
Some posting on the other sites are for walking away but it's in my blood so I can't and won't do that so, to borrow from a catholic prayer,
De Profundis ...................

No place for Gary to hide now(not even back of Family Stand). Needs to agree an exit package with CO and leave with some dignity still intact.
So toxic now, with even the most loyal supporters raging at what's happening to our club. Not helped by stewards, under instructions by directors, Putin-like,clamping down on protests, filming those taking part and removing banners.

If he does go...who is likely to replace him?

It has absolutely shocked me this season to see how easily we let half-decent opposition waltz through our midfield and get at our centre backs unhindered. Yet again ..... It is a good job that St Albans declared at half-time. If they had kept their foot down, they could have had double figures. We do not have very good players but it is the way we set up that hands the game to the opposition. Lapslie should be played where he could at least try to stem the tide.

Not helped by stewards, under instructions by directors, Putin-like,clamping down on protests, filming those taking part and removing banners. In any normal club, Johnson's position would be utterly untenable. Unfortunately, we are not normal. The CEO has unequivocally declared that Johnson is the best man for the job and I do not think he is the kind of person who can face up to even considering the possibility that he may have ever been wrong on anything. So Johnson IS the best man for the job. It reminds me of that woman in the Post Office serial. She would rather send every postmaster in the country to jail than admit that Horizon was not a perfect system. I fear that George would rather ban every Torquay fan from Plainmoor than admit that he got it wrong in saying that Johnson is the best man for the job. Unlike George, I would be happy to admit that I am wrong on this. In fact I would be delighted to be proved wrong on this. My TUFC obsession means I will be streaming on Tuesday and will be at Plainmoor next Saturday. I am really not looking forward to either. The atmosphere against St Albans was absolutely toxic and I suspect will be worse still next week. That toxic atmosphere is certainly NOT the fault of fans, whose patience has been tested beyond belief. The only way to clear the air is to change the manager. That will not be the answer to all of the issues at the club, but at least it would be a huge step in the right direction.
