Thought I would add a post as interest in whats occuring at the club and sharing an opinion on here has declined somewhat and there's very little to read on this site now.
A sad reflection on the current state of our club.
At the start of this season I was prepared to give the GJ one last opportunity to put things right, particularly after the final third of last season when performances and quality improved.
Many wanted change including myself and If GJ continued and shows signs of failing the fan base will quickly turn on him , which is exactly what is happening. From day one of this season hes been walking a tightrope. A very narrow one for supporters but and extremely wide one for the owners. It seems he can do no wrong.
I posted this response on FB "Yellow Army" in reply to a post where a supporter encourages us to get behind the players.
Pointless attacking players they are the easy target.
The performances are a direct result of two seasons of poor inadequate signings to replace quality players that wanted out, poor management of injuries in particular and the dodgy tactics we see every week . You wont change the majority of supporters opinion of Garry Johnson. The decline has gone on far too long now and he has surely got that message from the terraces now and is surely on his last legs at this club. Likely nothing will change until the end of the season, though it wouldn't surprise me if he was offered another stint knowing this lot.
So what's changed from when they dumped Owers after he signed some very good players in an instant for poor performances.? I understand where your coming from but in all honesty GJ should have gone a long time ago though personally I was always prepared to give the guy one last chance. Genuine football knowledgeable and ambitious owners wouldn't be sitting on their hands right now so something has changed with their thinking from when they first arrived. Lose to the bottom of the table Dover and GJ will still be bulling up our chances of the play offs on You Tube after shooting down the tunnel to avoid the ugly scenes and vitriol.
If nothing changes and we continue to applaud failure the club will continue on a downward trajectory.... That's' a fact.
