Final game before the festive period and McGavin will serve his suspension for his second yellow from last Saturday today. If the likes of Lapslie are back fit again, then that is not a bad thing. We do have another loan signing with Foyo coming from Ipswich but spending time with the likes of Chelsea and Norwich so hopefully should have something about him - link We are on a good run now, so need to keep it going and keep the pressure on Yeovil over Christmas and going into the New Year. link - TUFC

Might be a good game for McGavin to miss. A massive improvement from him recently and he has Football League quality technique BUT he is as much use as a chocolate teapot as a shield to the back four when the opposition is good enough to rattle us and actually run at our defence.
Chelmsford are far from world beaters, but with home advantage I think they will provide a far stronger test than experienced on our recent winning run against very weak opposition.
It would be nice to have Lapslie or Hall back but no idea if this is a possibility.
If not, I would drop Hanson back into a holding midfield role, put Archer in centre midfield with De Silva and new signing Foyo fighting for the spare slot.
Hope that Jenkins Davies is now good for ninety minutes.
Only known squad changes are Foyo in and McGavin out. A comeback or two would see Thomas and / or Martin drop out of the 16.
Hoping for a win but we are well overdue a draw, aren’t we?

link - lineup is out with no signs of Jenkins-Davis or Lapslie meaning Foyo starts.

Worryingly, Jenkins Davies misses out so Foyo and De Silva both play. Expect Collins will be third man in midfield with De Silva and Foyo wide.
Surprisingly Chastey beats Wellington to the spare place on the bench. Or was he along for the ride and plugging a gap caused by a late dropout as Phil Sandercock was when he made his surprise debut?

Onus will really be on Hanson to step up to the plate and anchor that midfield as the four Infront of him - De Silva, Archer, Collins and Foyo are all really attackers rather than midfielders. Bench is dreadful. I suppose plan B would be Crowe on at right back and Marshall moved to stiffen centre midfield. He seems to have played everywhere else in the last few weeks! I suspect he may not be 100% fit though.

Looking pretty top heavy with forwards. Hope they can defend. Still no sign of Lapslie and the swift return of Jenkins Davis was maybe too premature. This really is one of the worst injury crisis I can recall. It's gonna be a tough today I feel.

Sounds like midfield being totally overrun.
Who’d have thunk it?
Lucky to only be one down so far.

OMG - Who is this comedian on co-commentary? I've arrived a few minutes late and missed the introductions. I get more sense from the bloke behind me on the Pop Side!

Roger Lester - the right kind of supporter. Certainly the right kind of supporter, but completely the wrong sort of broadcaster. What are the BBC doing by plucking anyone randomly off the terraces without giving them some training? I'm getting no added value from this commentary pairing at all.

The best co-commentator ever is a fan with no formal training. Paul Bastard is intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable and knows exactly when to speak and when not to speak. He may be the exception that proves the rule though.

He may be the exception that proves the rule though. I respectfully disagree (not about Paul B who is a very good addition to the commentary). Without training you don't know when to speak and when not to speak. I'm getting bored with Roger starting a sentence and then drifting off into silence without actually making a point or talking at the same time as Harry. Live broadcasting is very difficult and unless you have a clear idea of process, tactics even, then you end up trying to have a normal conversation, oblivious that the mic is picking every cough, sigh and mumble. Think through your point, wait for your cue and make the point quickly and succinctly. Everyone benefits. I pay a licence fee for professional broadcasting. Amateur fan input can improve that broadcast but Roger is crossing the line with his comments of "powder-puffs" and wishing injured players would just play on the wing instead of receiving treatmant. He doesn't understand the Laws, he doesn't understand the shape of modern teams and he clearly doesn't understand how injuries affect performance. He's out of touch with modern football and the BBC shouldn't be giving him air-time.

If a co-commentator cannot add insight and colour to the commentary, he is worse than useless. Much better to just have one commentator. Other than Paul B, I find the insight of ex-pros like Gritts, Nico and Woodsy add real value. Other than those, most are not worth having. Dave Thomas is obviously very knowledgeable but is a dreadful co-commentator as he never knows when to shut up.

2-0 now.
It did seem ridiculous not getting excited by five straight wins, but I always felt we would struggle as soon as we faced a half-decent team.
