We go to Bovey Tracey, 3-2 winners over Bishops Lydeard, in the week commencing 18 September.
A week before we go to Ivybridge in the Devon St Lukes Bowl.
Some TUFC-related sites have failed to bring you this news. Absolutely disgraceful. Lazy buggars should be shot.

Some TUFC-related sites have failed to bring you this news. Absolutely disgraceful. Lazy buggars should be shot. Could you just clarify the Devon St Lukes Challenge Cup game as I wouldn't want to miss it living so close to the Ivybridge Town ground. 'A week before' can be read two ways. Are the youth team playing a week before we go to Ivybridge, or are they playing the week after (ie we go to Ivybridge a week before the youth team play)? BTPR announced it on 16 August 2023 after the draw was made as being 7.30 pm Wednesday 27 September 2023. My understanding is that it has now been brought forward by a day to Tuesday 26 September 2023. Is w/b 25 September 2023 the correct week for the fixture, whether it is on the Tuesday or the Wednesday? It is important as ex-Gull Dave Smith needs to know when to order his extra pies for the Duke of Cornwall pub! There is no fixed date for first round fixtures and at least one tie has already been played. Not surprised it was missed by Torquayfans.com it seems very quiet on there now! ⚽️

Yes I meant the Youth Cup is a week before the Ivybridge game. Ivybridge is Tuesday 26th September at 7.30. I am hoping that playing the Youth Cup game the week before - exact date not yet known - will mean we won’t have to let Ivybridge down due to a date clash. See you in the Duke of Cornwall! Tell Dave Smith that mine is a Steak and Ale - although on past reputation I am a little worried he may add a surprise extra ingredient as he allegedly did in the communal bath at Plainmoor. Looks like a five minute walk to the ground from there past David May Motor Services and Sharon Stone Soft Furnishings. Might try to talk David May into coming out of retirement - he is only 53 - to sure up our back four. I hope Sharon Stone does not try to distract our brave boys by sitting on the Ivybridge bench and constantly crossing and uncrossing her legs.

A very entertaining game played at Buckland Athletic’s ground on Thursday.
You would hope that signals the start of a partnership between the two clubs to provide a real development path for young players in the area - although I would not hold my breath.
Fortunately our Crowd Prevention Executive had no input on ticketing arrangements. I did not know if I would be able to go, but having finished what I needed to get done I rocked up and paid on the gate. They have a little card reader machine at the gate. I know it is not rocket science, but nice to see this blatantly obvious crowd-friendly facility in place. I wish someone could explain to me why the powers that be at Plainmoor prefer to discourage the casuals and the late deciders.
Another game of two halves. In the first half United ripped Falmouth to pieces. Wellington, playing wide left in a 4-3-3, had their right back on toast.
Falmouth tightened up in the second half and United took their foot off the pedal. Nice to see Falmouth get a consolation goal. Then they got a second and then a third. A fourth would have really set the nerves jangling. But United put the game out of reach with a penalty and nearly had another with a United player felled just outside the box leading to a straight red for the offender. The game finished 6-3.
Another home game in the final qualifier against Reading City. I wonder if that will be played at Buckland. The round after that is where the League 1 and League 2 clubs join the fray - which will see a massive leap in standards.

Great to see the young lads having some success once again this season though personally I will only call our youth system a success when we actually produce a player or players capable of holding down a first team place and just maybe one day making the club a lot of money in the transfer market. We bring in young players from outside the club continually and fail to produce league standard footballers and this has been the way its been for many seasons. The ones we do give contracts to never develop to meet the standards of higher league football and are released soon after and lets face it its far easier to bring in better and ready made from football league clubs. Is that really ever going to change?

Next round is at Buckland 7.30pm tomorrow - Thursday.
Not sure if I can go, but those nice people at Buckland let you just turn up and pay at the gate.
It is almost is if they want you to be there.

The club has not bothered to put on the website that this will now be played at Reading tomorrow - Thursday.
You would think they could find a pitch in South Devon. How about the Devon FA facility at Coach Road?
If they cannot be bothered to find a home venue it would have been nice if they had bothered to tell fans what is happening.
If the club is serious about building a strong relationship with South Devon College, why piss off family and friends of the college footballers by denying them the chance to see their boys in a big cup game.
The winners will be at home to Exeter City. Any guesses where that might be played? At least Exeter is closer than Reading. Of course, that will be a huge leap in class from Bovey, Falmouth and Reading City. A non-embarrassing loss would feel like a win.

Next round will be at Reading - the Combined Counties League outfit thrashed us 5-2.
Probably saved us from an embarrassment at the hands of Exeter.
