Combination of a heavy workload and a new puppy in the household has meant a late match thread going up! Back to winning ways, much needed. link - TUFC match preview.

Craske joins Collins, Hall and Dawson on the sick list. Hanson added to the 16.
Martin and De Silva dropped to the bench with Moxey, McGavin and Jenkins Davies all starting. Guessing Jenkins Davies will start wide left

If my calculations be correct (and when aren’t they) it’s either a loss or a draw? 🦧

Sadly, my overall impression is that we won’t go up as champions (that honour will go to one of the teams no one expected) but we should make the playoffs.
Should we happen to make the finals of the playoffs and it comes down to penalties, I hope Jarvis doesn’t take one. On the two occasions I have seen him take a penalty this season it’s bottom right of the keeper, and on both occasions almost saved.

Thought it was a dire game until the goal went in, cracking performance from MOM Jarvis scoring two and assisting with the other. Gawd knows what will happen if he gets injured or gets transfered in the New Year.
Centre back still required and I think I would have started with Martin. Jurys out on the new striker. What happen to the loans rather than loan.
Any news on when Asa and Dawson will be back.
Thought Farnborough were poor.

Jurys out on the new striker. What happen to the loans rather than loan. Honestly. You call for a striker on the bench. The Gaffer gets a striker on the bench and you're still not happy!

We have really made an angry old man very happy by delaying our thoughts for a day or two. Always nice to help the elderly.
I was a bit premature in naming Halstead man-of-the-match before kick-off.
Chelston could see enough of the game, between quaffing chardonnay and prawn sandwiches, from his poor position behind the goal to see that Jarvis thoroughly deserved to deny Halstead the accolade for the first time this season.
After a bright start, we seemed to have run out of ideas and that sinking feeling was starting to come back when Tomlinson threaded a beautiful through ball to Jarvis who drove it hard and low just inside the near post. Keeper might have done better but it was an excellent finish from an excellent pass.
Worries that we might makeo our usual sleepy start to the second half were unfounded. An excellent second half and a thoroughly deserved comfortable win.
Is this a corner turned or will we revert to type? Answers on a postcard.
Moxey made a huge difference to defensive composure. Managed an hour. Would be great to have him get up to full speed and play 90 minutes.
Jenkins Davies provided less width on the left than a De Silva or a Collins, but gave us the option to tuck a third man into midfield when required. McGavin had a far better game, but lets see how he fares against opposition that press and rattle him a bit more than Farnborough did.
Too early to judge Pearce. A striker on the bench, but he has twice been brought on to play out wide rather than to replace a striker. So we have not had the chance to see what a striker from the bench can do.
