First of the two bank holiday fixtures as Torquay to continue their climb at the table after a poor start. Will we have any injured players back? TUFC match preview

I had a dream last night about this match (or maybe it was a nightmare) with the score 1:1 at halftime and 1:3 at full time…we shall see. 🔮

We have just about managed to grind out two decent results.
Tide turning or papering over the cracks?
We were down to our last 16 at St Albans with five out.
Seems like no loanees until September. Will be interesting to see if the EFL transfer window closing makes a difference or if we will find a new excuse.
We won’t have Dawson and Hall back. Highly unlikely Moxey will start. I would imagine 20 minutes today and 70 on Monday is the most we could hope for. That leaves Jarvis and Craske as possible returners.
If Jarvis is ready to start, one of DeSilva, Collins or Ash will be on the bench.
I would like to see Craske in at right back. I would then use Donnellan to beef up the midfield and put young Jenkins Davies on the bench.
Of course, we may have further absentees. You would hope that Lapslie and Marshall were taken off last week as preventative maintenance. If either out, Donnellan would need to fill the gap. That would mean Jenkins Davies starting and either Craske or Crowe at right back.
Think Lapslie may not last ninety - particularly with another game on Monday.
Not expecting a sparkling performance. Can we grind out another narrow win? If we can, 10 points from 5 games looks like promotion winning form - even if the performances have not looked anywhere near.

Jarvis in for De Silva. No Moxey. Craske on bench. Hanson and Thomas drop out of the 16.

4-3-3 or 4-4-2?
I suppose it depends on whether you think Stobbs is playing as a midfielder or a winger.

Craske on for Martin. Straight swap.
Commentary suggests Martin not injured, so assume Martin was having a stinker.

Dreadful, dreadful half. Get Johnson out of this club.

Just beyond depressing now. We haven’t played well yet at all and it just feels like it’s never going to end. Clarke Osborne just seems content to strangle the life out of this club so slowly that no one especially cares by the time he finishes the job.

Ash with a screamer to equalise very much against the run of play.
