link - TUFC match preview Final preseason game before the real stuff starts next Saturday! It has been a successful preseason so far so hope we get through this without any injuries. Not sure if we will see any sign of Moxey or Dawson who would need to make an appearance to have any chance of starting next week link - never quite sure about the quality of the B team with Weymouth beating this side 5-0 earlier this week but then you never know which players will be in the side. I am away today so will be keeping a look out for the score and match reports. COYY!

Five pre season friendlies. Same starting eleven in all of them. Has that ever happened before? I doubt it.
Moxey on bench. No Marshall. Still no Dawson.

Bench one keeper, four defenders, two midfielders, no attackers.

Bench one keeper, four defenders, two midfielders, no attackers. That will please Chelston.

Sitting on a bench in Seaton, near Looe, waiting to start the chugging 🍺 No strikers on the bench my arse, un bleddy believable 😡 Are the folk who pick the players thick or just daft in the head 🥸 Is this the same Southampton squad that lost 5-0 against Weymouth or was it the other way around?

Couldn’t see a mention of the two strikers who came off the bench?

From the Southampton FC website I learn that the Saints B team was: Saints: McNamara, Payne, Abu, Hewlett, Meghoma, Bragg, Dibling, Finnigan, Ballard, Doyle, Ehibhatiomhan. www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/u21-report-torquay-1-3-saintsI'm idly wondering if any of these players will be wearing the yellow and blue of The Gulls at some point this season.

It certainly sounds as though there was some pace and quality in that Southampton squad. I wonder if Gary Johnson thinks he has enough quality in all areas to cover injuries etc. I should imagine that any budget has been spent so it will be a case of how he plays the loan market from now on in.
